Hanyu 1985 Ace of Spades Single Cask #9308

Perhaps the second most talked about bottle within Ichiro Akuto's famous Card Series of whiskies.  The Ace of Spades was released in 2006 and comes from a traditional oak cask that was re-racked into a single Spanish oak sherry butt #9308 before bottling in 2006.

Distilled in 1985 and bottled as a 21 year old, this highly sought after edition was limited to only 300 bottles, this is bottle number 50.

Hanyu 1990 Queen of Hearts Single Cask #9102 

The Queen of Hearts was distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2006.

Matured in a traditional hogshead before a second period of maturation in a french oak cognac wood, cask # 9102.

This bottle is only number 22 of 324.

Hanyu 1991 Ichiro's Malt 'Card' #9001 / Jack of Clubs​

A single cask #9001 Hanyu bottled within the Ichiro's Malt series of whiskies.

Distilled in 1991 and matured in a hogshead before being moved into a American oak sherry butt for a second maturation period prior to being bottled in 2006.

Glenfiddich 1959 Private Vintage 

A stunning single cask bottling of 1959 vintage, which was selected by Glenfiddich's Malt Master and hand bottled on 9th August 2006 after over 46 years of maturation.

Presented in a crafted cherry wood case with certificate, this is bottle number 37.

Hanyu 1988 King of Diamonds Single Cask #9003

A Single cask Hanyu distilled in 1988 and matured in a hogehads prior to being finished in an American Oak Sherry Butt and bottled 2006.

Distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2010. 

Originally bottled in a hogshead then finished in a port pipe.

Matured in a hogshead and finished in a Pedro Ximenez Sherry Butt

A new and very limited bottling of Glenfiddich for Ginpin Taoyuan Taiwan distilled on 16th April 1993.

Single cask 11/3190-67 yielded only 78 bottles this is bottle number 2 from batch #001

Glendronach 1971 Single Cask 38 Year Old Batch #1

The very first bottle of the very first single cask batch released after the distillery was taken over by Benriach in 2008. 

These helped establish Glendronach as the new home of heavily sherried whisky. 

Distilled in February 1971  and then bottled in July 2009 after being matured in Oloroso butt number 483.

Glenfarlas 105 is a popular cask strength classic, this release has a further 30 plus years in the cask but still bottled at 60%.

A very rare bottling of Glenugie by the legendary bottler Samaroli.

This incredibly rare Glenugie is not often seen at auction and that is not suprising as only 108 bottles were released in 1999 from single cask #5822.

The Family Cask range was launched early in 2007 with a cask for each year from 1952 until 1994.

This is the third release of the 1959 vintage, bottled on the 15 July 2007 after maturation in cask number 3227.

A fantastic example of war-time whisky distilled at Glenlivet distillery in 1948.  

Bottled by Gordon and MacPhail at some point in the 1990s.

Hanyu 2000 ‘The Game’ Cask #9805 Rum Finish

This is a bottle from a Japanese food and spirits importer called Shinanoya exclusively for the Japanese market.

This is the forth release in their acclaimed The Game series which contains Hanyu from the final year that the distillery was producing.

This was finished in a rum cask.

Hanyu Ichiro's Malt The Joker 'Colour'

The 54th and final bottling in Ichiro's Card Series.

There are two Joker's released to complete the 54 bottle series, one in colour and one in Black and White.  This particular bottling is the Colour Joker, a vatting of 14 casks covering vintages from 1985, 1986, 1988, 1990, 1991 and 2000.  The casks used for this final bottling include a sherry butt, puncheon, hogshead, Cognac, chibidaru, Madeira hogshead and bourbon.

Only 3,690 bottles of this highly anticipated whisky have been made available.

Distilled in 1951 and bottled in 1995 this is a very old Glen Grant bottled by Gordon and MacPhail under the iconic George and J.G Smiths Label.

A wonderful old bottling of a mystery Speyside by Gordon and MacPhail, Glen Gordon is rumoured to actually be Glenfarclas - it's only a rumour though!

Glenugie 1966 The Bottlers

We rarely see this vintage of Glenugie, in fact we rarely see Glenugie at all these days.  This 1966 vintage was bottled by 'The Bottlers' , a selection of independantly bottled whiskies for the reknowned fine wine merchants, Raeburn Fine Wines.

Distilled in 1966 and bottled in November 1993 at 27 years of age.

Hanyu/Kawasaki 25 Year Old Kiyosato Field Ballet 26th Anniversary

A very rare and collectible marriage of two lost Japanese distilleries: this very limited blended whisky contains 1990 Hanyu and 1982 Kawasaki.

The Hanyu was a 25 Year Old and the Kawasaki was a 33 year old. 

Bottle number 170 of 700 bottles, however there were only 200 of the hardcover editions released which features a blown glass bottle from Kobei Komaki and stopper.

Glendronach 1968 25 Year Old 75cl (US Import)

There are a number of famous Glendronach's from 1968 and this is no different, originally bottled for the US market.

This is the original Glendronach 25 year old, from 1968 which Serge Valentin from Whisky Fun explains is 'A tremendous sherry monster', scoring 90 pts.

Glenmorangie 1981 Sauternes Wood Finish / Cruze Sauternes Circa 1970s

Another legendary Glenmorangie in this auction, limited to only 4,000 bottles.

This Glenmorangie was distilled in 1981 and spent the final two years of maturation in Chateau d'Yquem Sauternes casks.  

Alongside this legendary Glenmorangie is a bottle of Sauternes, bottled we believe sometime in the 1970s.
