Macallan 1940

There were very very few distillery operational distilleries during World War Two which makes this bottle of Macallan exceptionally rare.  

Distilled in 1940 and bottled by Gordon and Macphail for Pro Nobilitate Ebert Hainzl Co, Hamburg

Karuizawa 1984 30 Year Old Cask Single Cask #7857 / Samurai

Karuizawa is unique, there are so few releases in the last couple of years of this legendary malt which just goes to show how scarce and exclusive these single cask offerings are.

This is one of three Karuizawa single casks all branded under the Samaurai range available in this auction.

Distilled in 1984 and matured for 30 years until bottling in 2014, limited to only 508 bottles.

Macallan 30 Year Old Sherry Oak 75cl / US Import

A very rare and hugely popular edition of Macallan 30 year old, released in the eye catching bright blue box with blue and gold labelling. 

The bottle and box is in excellent condition.

Karuizawa 1984 29 Year Old Single Cask #3662

From this incredibly popular lost Japanese distillery, which has produced so many internationally acclaimed malts.

Macallan 1957 Anniversary Malt 25 Year Old 75cl

A legendary release from Macallan, bottled in 1983 and distilled in 1957.

As the label reads 'A special bottling of unblended single highland malt scotch whisky over 25 years old'.

A desirable bottle of Macallan which received 93 out of 100 from the Malt Maniacs!

Killyloch 1967 36 Year Old

A very rare bottling of whisky from Killyloch.  The distillery existed within the long lost Moffat distilling complex, which combined of two malt distilleries Killyloch and Glenflagler and that of the Moffat Grain distillery.  The distillery was built in 1965 and closed in July 1985.  Killyloch was a slightly higher peating level, according to the Malt Maniacs at a level of around 3ppm with a higher peating level used for another malt produced in these rare stills cale Islebrae.  Production of Killyloch ceased much earlier than that of Glen Flagler in 1970 when the pot stills for this malt were removed.

This 36 year old official release from Inverhouses is a combination of the six of the last remaining casks that belonged to Inverhouse, the proprietors of the distillery, Glen Flagler. 

A release of only 371 bottles this is bottle number 68.

Includes a lovely wooden box and certificate of authenticity.

Karuizawa produced outstanding whiskies, many of which have received international acclaim.

Another Noh single cask from Karuizawa, distilled in 1983 and bottled 28 years later from single sherry butt #7576

571 bottles were released.

Karuizawa 1982 29 Year Old Noh Single Cask #8529

Another new single cask Karuizawa for us, distilled in 1982 and bottled in 2012 with a fantastic label - shame we missed Halloween with this one!

Single bourbon cask #8529 yielded only 411 bottles.

Karuizawa 1980 34 Year Old Single Cask #6476

As with many of the Karuizawa bottlings that we list in our auctions, the labels are fantastic! 

Distilled in March 1980 and bottled in July 2014 aged 34 years.

Single cask #6476 is an ex-bourbon cask.

Karuizawa 1981 30 Year Old Single Cask #6207

Karuizawa produced outstanding whiskies, many of which have received international acclaim.

Another cracking single cask from Karuizawa, distilled in 1981 and bottled 30 years later on the 5th September 2011. 

543 bottles were released.

Karuizawa Noh 27 Year Old Multi Vintages Batch #1

La Maison Du Whisky released a number of multi-vintage Karuizawa's, bottled under the Noh release brand.

This is the original multi-vintage Karuizawa from 1981, 1983 and 1984 bottled October 2011.

The whisky used was from Sherry Butts and Bourbon casks from 1981, 1981, 1983 and 1984; cask numbers #6405, #4973, #8184 and #6437.

Macallan 30 Year Old

Macallan 30 year old matured in a Jerez Sherry casks.  

Presented in this pre 2005 packaging style.

The incredibly desirable and elusive Macallan 30 year old sherry oak, spends it's entire maturation period within Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez.

This recent release from Macallan carries Whisky Tint #26, signed by Bob Dalgarno.

Karuizawa Cask Strength Selection 4 x 70cl

This cask strength series of Karuizawa was exclusively released to the Taiwanese market, this includes all four releases.

The cask strength series is a combination of sherry casks from 1999 and 2000 all bottled at 61.7%

Karuizawa 1994 Noh Single Cask 15 Year Old

A single cask Karuizawa bottled within the infamous 'Noh' series, with the usual friendly face on the front!

Distilled in 1994 and bottled in 2010 from a single sherry butt with cask number #270, which yielded 480 bottles.

Please note that the wax has tiny bubbles in it. 

Macallan 1979 Gran Reserva 18 Year Old

The Gran Reserva Macallan’s were release between 1997 and 2002. Distilled in 1979 and bottled in 1997, this 18 year old Macallan is widely regarded as one of the most memorable and legendary ever bottled.

Macallan 1965 Anniversary Malt 25 Year Old

A stunning example of Macallan 25 year old,  distilled in 1965 and bottled in 1990,  25 years later.

Matured exclusively in sherry wood.

Macallan Diamond Jubilee

Released in 2012 this specially designed bottle bears a unique image of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II created by the sculptor Arnold Martin.

The contents of this bottle were specially chosen for the months it was drawn from the casks, 6th February, the Queen's accession and the first week in June, traditionally when the Jubilees are celebrated.  Bottled at 52% in line with the year of the Queen's accession, only 2,012 bottles were released.

Karuizawa 1992 Single Cask #3434 Whisky Magazine

A single cask bottling of Karuizawa selected by the editor of Whisky Magazine.

Distilled in 1992 and matured in an American white oak sherry butt, #3434, bottled in 2007 at 15 years old.

Bottle number 158 of 308. 

Macallan 1969 Celtic Hartlands 35 Year Old

Distilled in 1969 and then matured in American oak for 35 years. 

Bottle number 497 of 726.

Macallan 1996 Easter Elchies 2013

The Easter Elchies single cask bottlings from Macallan are released annually exclusive to Macallan distillery.  This was released over two days in November and December 2013 to incredibly high demand and a number of unhappy customers.

Distilled in 1996 and matured until 2013, this 17 year old single sherry butt #26 yielded 390 bottles.340 were sold at the distillery, the other 50 were presumably sold to staff.

Macallan Coronation

The latest in the Macallan royal bottlings, this release from June 2013 consists of two 35cl bottles with a box designed by David Holmes. One bottle depicts the queen from 1953, matured solely in American oak sherry seasoned casks, while the other matured in Spanish sherry seasoned casks.   Only 1,953 boxes were produced to convey the date of the coronation in 1953.

Only available on Macallan’s website or at the distillery this quickly became one of the fastest selling releases of 2013.

Macallan 1999 Easter Elchies 2012

The Easter Elchies single cask bottlings from Macallan are released annually exclusive to Macallan distillery.  

Distilled in 1999 and matured until 2012, this 13 year old single sherry butt #6697 yielded 400 bottles.

Distilled in the year 2000, matured in a single sherry butt #7603 before bottling in 2013 for the Tokyo International Bar Show.

Macallan 1997 Easter Elchies 2010 Including Miniature

The 2010 Easter Elchies bottling was from a single sherry butt cask #432, distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2010.

Also included is a miniature of from the same cask.

Macallan 1966 Speymalt 32 Year Old

Bottled under Gordon and Macphail's Speymalt banner, this Macallan was distilled in 1966 and bottled 32 years later in 1998.

These independant old Macallan's are a bargain compared to their official release counter parts.
