D Antonia A Ferreira Garrafeira 1834 Vinho Porto

One of the famous vintages from the nineteenth century.

This vintage is linked to the Ferreira family; In October 1834 Dona Antonia Adelaide Ferreira marries the son namesake António Bernardo Ferreira in Chapel Farm Travassos in Loureiro. Both only children, the couple were to inherit the concentrated wealth of the two strongest branches of the family, a fact that would prove decisive to consolidate, under the name of D. Antonia.  This would evolve into the World famous port producing Ferriera empire.

his wine was the protagonist of a dramatic but fascinating episode: in 1887, the Swedish explorer Auguste Andrée, along with two companions, decided to cross the North Pole in a balloon. On 14 July, the balloon fell to the Arctic, amazingly they survived and the they made a feast in a floating ice sheet. The main course was yummy seagull breast,alongside abottle of Vintage Port \"D. Antonia Ferreira \"1834 which had been offered by the King of Sweden. Unfortunately, the adventurers did not survive to tell his experience but a Norwegian expedition found, 33 years later, their bodies and, diaries and some photographic material.

Springbank 32 Year Old

An older expression from this Campbeltown classic. This was distilled in 1971 then matured for 32 years in refill sherry casks and then bottled in 2004.

A commemorative 25 year old Springbank bottled to celebrate Frank McHardy's 40 years service to the whisky industry.

610 bottles of this  25 year old distilled in 1974 were made available, each bottle is signed on the rear by Frank.

Springbank 21 Year Old Fresh Rum Single Cask / US Exclusive 75cl

The oldest offering from Springbank, the 21 year old is incredibly popular for drinkers and collectors.  

This incredibly limited single cask release was only available in the US and was matured in Fresh Rum cask.

Distilled May 1993 and bottled July 2014 then presented in quite an eye catching box.

Caol Ila 1975 Rare Malt 20 year old 75cl

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

Distilled in 1975 and bottled in 1995 as a 20 year old, there were eight releases of Caol Ila under the Rare Malt Selection.

Chivas Regal 18 Year Old Christian Lacroix Edition

This what happens when you let a talented fashion designer at an icon of whisky... Christian Lacroix has designed this limited edition Chivas Regal 18 year old in an embroidery fabric and silver bottle, designed to emphasise 'Chivalry'.

Only 3,000 of this limited edition Chivas were produced.

Dalmore Mackenzie 1992

The Dalmore Mackenzie was released to commemorate the long lasting relationship between Dalmore and Clan Mackenzie.

The whisky was matured in a bourbon hogsheads for 11 years before a finishing period of 6 years in port pipes.

A limited and highly sought after bottling of which only 3,000 were made.

Campbell's Blended Scotch Whisky 1940 

A very rare blended whisky produced by John Campbell's we believe from around the 1940s

This particular bottle has been difficult to find information on and we believe this rare John Campbell's blended whisky is affiliated to Campbell, Hope and King the legendary bottlers from Elgin.  The bottle certainly dates from an earlier period than that to which Campbell, Hope and King are better known.  The italic name 'Campbell's' certainly matches those used for Campbell's of Elgin a blend that was produced from the 1960s.

Clynelish 17 Year Old Manager's Dram 1998

The Manager’s Dram series of whiskies were bottled exclusively for employees of what is now known as Diageo.  These whiskies were selected by the respective distillery managers within Diageo malt distilling and bottled at natural cask strength.

This 17 year old Clynelish was matured in sherry casks and selected by the distillery manager.

St Magdalene / Linlithgow 1982 Cadenhead's 12 Year Old

A 12 Year old St Magdalene, distilled in December 1982 bottled at cask stength by Cadenhead in July 1995. 

Springbank 1999 Odd Casks #419

Springbank produced these very limited bottlings due to alligations of being odd for suspending production during 2008. A rival distiller is quoted by Daily Mail as saying  \"An odd decision from a very odd bunch of people\". The distillery decided to run a competition asking Springbank fans what they thought ODD may stand for. The winner was \"Original, Distinct, Defiant,\" the words which now appear on the label.

Cask #419 was a red wine cask.

Dallas Dhu 1977 Cadenhead's 19 Year Old

Distilled in September 1977 and bottled December 1996, this is a Cadenhead bottling of the closed Speyside distillery.

Caperdonich is a Speyside distillery that closed in 2002.

A Cadenhead bottling of a 1975 vintage Demerrara rum from Guyana.

Dalmore Millennium Release 1263 Custodian 2012 / 1st Release

The first cask to be bottled for Dalmore's custodians, a concept introduced by the distillery for it's followers in 2012.

A trio of casks were filled at midnight on January 1st 2000 and gradually released on their 12th, 15th, and 18th birthday's.

This is the first 'Millennium Release', bottled in 2012 as a 12 year old. Initiallly matured in an American oak ex-bourbon cask, before being finished in a Matusalem oloroso sherry cask.

Dalmore Castle Leod 1995

Following the very popular Dalmore Clan Mackenzie release in 2010, similiarly this follow up was released to generate funds for the restoration of the Clan Mackenzie's ancestral home the Castle Leod.

Matured in American white oak and Spanish sherry wood, before being finished in Bordeaux casks. Castle Leod was distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2011.

Coleburn 1972 Gordon and Macphail

Distilled in 1972 and bottled by Gordon and Macphail in 2000.

Coleburn is yet another of the many distilleries that didn’t make it through the 1980s, the production equipment is now gone so this will never produce again. 

Chichibu 2008 Ichiro's Malt The First

The first whisky (aged three year old) released from Ichiro Akuto's Chichibu distillery. Showcased at the 2011 Whisky Show then released in UK in early 2012.

Caol Ila 1978 Rare Malt 23 Year Old 

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

This Caol Ila was distilled in 1978 and bottled in the May 2002 release, again at a high abv of 61.7%.

Compass Box Last Vatted Malt

In the final day before the 2009 Scotch Whisky regulations were enacted (22/11/2009) CompassBox released both this and the \"Last Vatted Malt\". From that day forward the word \"Vatted\" was no longer legitimate and has been replaced with \"Blended\". So now Blended Malts and Blended Grains are the acceptable nomenclature.

This is a combination of old Speyside and Islay single malts.

Dalwhinnie 1987 25 Year Old

Released within Diageo's 2012 Special Releases.

Distilled in 1987 and bottled in 2012, limited to 5358 bottles.

Caol Ila 1990 The Syndicate's 22 Year Old
