The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

Distilled at Dailuaine in 1973 and bottled as a 22 year old, this is bottle number 11978.

Octomore 6.1 Scottish Barley

A ridiculously high peating level of 167 ppm and aged for 5 years. Produced with Barley grown exclusively in Scotland.

Oban 12 Year Old 1960s/70s

An Oban 12 Year Old from the late 1970s or early 1980s.

Orkney 2000 North Star 17 Year Old​

The third in North Star's Cask Series, this was distilled at an undisclosed Orkeny distillery (so, Scapa or Highland Park), in 2000.

Finished in an ex-PX hogshead and bottled in September 2017.

Matured entirely in ex American and ex Spanish sherry casks.

Denis-Mounié Grande Réserve Edouard VII is an unsurpassable 25-year old Fine Champagne Cognac which was first bottled for the King Edward VII.

The King showed his appreciation for the efforts made by Denis-Mounié by awarding them with a Royal Warrant. We estimate that this bottle was bottled in 1970’s

Old Elgin 1946 Gordon and MacPhail 50 Year Old 5cl

A mystery Speyside malt, distilled in 1946 and bottled in 1996 by Gordon and MacPhail.

Osborne Veterano Viejo Brandy 1950s​

 A wonderful old bottle of Spanish Brandy.   

The Veterano brand was creating Don Ignacio Osborne Vázquez , fourth generation of the family Osborne. Don Ignacio was involved with the business between 1937 and 1972.

Old Weller Antique 107

W L Weller is the original wheated bourbon, This bourbon is made with a unique recipe at Buffalo Trace distillery. 

This has been bottled at 107 proof and used to carry a 7 year age statement but this has now been removed. 

This is produced in a very similar manner to Van Winkle 10 Year Old as it has the same mash bill and produced at the same distillery. 

Old Pulteney 17 Year Old

One of our favourites, Old Pulteney 17 year old has been highly acclaimed receiving an impressive 96.5 points in the Whisky Bible.  

This was in the same year that their 21 year old received Best Whisky in the World - we personally think the 17 year old is better, but don't tell Jim.

An 8 year old bourbon distilled at Heaven Hill, highly rated by Dave Broom in Whisky Mag.

Diageo Directors Blend 2005

A blend produced for employees within Diageo's Spirit Supply Scotland company, produced from whiskies from each of the 27 malt distilleries and 2 grain distilleries within the Diageo portfolio.

Bottled in December 2005.

Diamond 2004 Whisky Broker 12 Year Old Guyana Rum

The Diamond distillery in Guyana produced this rum which was then bottled by Whisky Broker.

Filled July 2004 and bottled 14th July 2017 from single cask #21

The cask reference is MDXC, we don't know what that means but the colour suggests sherry influence. 

One of 260 bottles.

Dalmore 2008 SMWS 9 Year Old 13.49

You don't see very many single cask Dalmore bottlings. This 2008 vintage was bottled 9 years later.

\"Apple olive oil cake.\" Distilled 29 May 2008 and matured in a refill ex-bourbon barrel.

A classic blend that is still popular worldwide today, this is a bottle from the 1968.

Dewar's white label was created in 1899 and has been a best selling Scotch for over a century.

Dunville's De Luxe Old Malt Whisky 1970s​

A Trans-Hyberian company Dunville Co. Ltd. bottled both Irish and Scotch whisk(e)y.

This blended malt was bottled in the 1970s.

Old Perth 1996 21 Year Old Blended Malt​

A single cask blended malt from Old Perth.

Distilled in 1996 and bottled at 21 Years Old by Morrison & MacKay of Aberargie.

Ardbeg Uigeadail

Uigedail is the name of the loch which feeds Ardbeg distillery.  Uigedail has become a much loved whisky, having gained recognition in Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible winning ‘World Whisky of the Year’ in 2009.

Italian import.

Dalwhinnie 1988 Distillers Edition

Distilled in 1988 and bottled in 2003, this fresh Oloroso cask finished Dalwhinnie adds a richness and texture to this normally light malt.
