Ardbeg Blasda

This tamed version of Ardbeg was peated to an average of 8ppm compared to the more usual 24ppm.  Rather controversially, the Blasda was also bottled in clear glass, at 40% and has been chill filtered, un-like Ardbeg's other releases which are typically un-chillfiltered and bottled in the iconic green bottle at 46% or above. Now discontinued and becoming increasingly difficult to find.

A very old bottle of gin produced for the Italian market.

Aultmore 1999 SMWS 15 Year Old 73.93​

Distilled in 1999 and bottled 18 years from a refill ex-Bourbon barrel.

One of 205 bottles produced.

Aberlour 12 Year Old 1980s​

A rare bottle of 12 year old Aberlour, bottled during the 1980's.

Starka 30 Year Old Rye Vodka 50cl

Traditional dry vodka, produced in Poland and Lithuania, and distilled from Rye Grain.

This particular liquid has been matured in oak barrels for 30 years.

Aberlour 1994 Samaroli / Coilltean

A single cask bottling of Aberlour distilled in 1994 and bottled by Silvano Samaroli in 2006 after maturing in a new American medium toasted oak cask #8418.

Bottle number 9 of only 306 produced.

#34 Aberlour A'Bunadh Batch

Aberlour A`bunadh is produced in the tradition of 19th century single malts from an era when villagers would come to the distillery to collect their dram straight from the cask, often in apothecary bottles obtained from the village chemist. Indeed these bottles are the inspiration for the a`bunadh bottle shape today.

Matured exclusively in Spanish Oak Oloroso Sherry butts, the rarest and most precious casks used for maturation and bottled at cask strength, a`bunadh possesses an unrivalled aromatic intensity. A richer mouth-fill and flavour complexity is achieved by bottling without the use of modern day chill-filtering methods. 

Aberlour A'bunadh is bottled using only first fill Oloroso sherry butts, this is batch #34 released in 2011.

An old 1970s Highland blended malt. 

Scallywag 10 Year Old Speyside Blended Malt / Red-Nosed Reindeer Edition 2

An aged and very attractive version of Scallywag, a Speyside Blended Malt produced by Douglas Laing.

This Red-Nosed Reindeer Edition is extremely limited, only 200 bottles were produced at a slightly stronger abv than normal of 48%

Speyside 1996 Douglas Laing 21 Year Old​

Distilled in 1996 at Speyside Distillery and matured for 21 years after maturing in a refill butt. 

Part of Douglas Laing's Old Particular single casks range.

Sandy Macnab's 1970s

A legendary blend produced primarily for the southern European markets by Lochside distillery in the 1970s.

A distillery famous producing both malt and grain on the same site which makes this blend even more interesting!

Suntory Excellence Anchor Decanter 60cl / Portopia '81

Japanese blend in a very interesting bottle shape.

Bottled for Kobe Port Island Exposition 'Portopia' 1981.

Arran 1996 North Star 20 Year Old

An independent bottling of Arran from North Star distilled in 1996 and bottled in October 2016.

Matured in a Bourbon Hogshead Cask then finished in a Madeira cask.

One of 234 bottles.

Suntory Yamazaki Very Rare Old 76cl 1970s / includes Quarter Bottle 18cl​

A fantastic bottling of Suntory whisky, long discontinued.  Presented in a unique, dumpy bottle.

Allthough these bottles were normally stated as blends, this one is stated as being from Yamazaki Distillery.  The neck label states \"Guaranteed to be a blend of the choice whiskies produced in our distillery.\"

We believe this bottle may be from the 1970's.

Includes 18cl quarter bottle.

Auchentoshan 2000 SMWS 16 Year Old 25.61​

An Auchentoshan release from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society distilled on the 1st of October 2000, and bottled after 16 years in a 1st Fill PX Hogshead

Carrying the SMWS tasting note/name 'A date with Cleopatra'.

A small batch Arran finished in PX Casks.

This was released exclusively for the professional whisky retailers in Denmark.

Stillbrook American Bourbon 1 Quart 1970s

A large bottle of 4 year old Bourbon distilled and bottled by the American Distilling Co Inc.

We estimate this bottle to be from the late 1970's.

New make spirit matured in 1st fill sherry casks (both Oloroso and PX). The first release was 2500 bottles, we assume that this is the same.

Each bottle has a scannable QR code which reveals complete details of the spirit from barley to bottle.

Arran 2000 SMWS 17 Year Old 121.101​

A Scotch Malt Whisky Society bottling of Arran, known as 'Honey and vanilla roasted rhubarb'.

Distilled on 20th April 2000 and bottled 17 years later after having been aged in an ex-Bourbon hogshead.

A single vintage bottling of Ardmore. A marriage of 1st fill bourbon and ex-islay casks aged 20 years.

Given that Laphroaig supplied the quarter casks for the now discontinued Traditional, its a safe bet they contributed the casks for this too.

A famous blended whisky owned by the legendary wine merchants Berry Brothers and Rudd.

This was likely bottled in the 1960's for the European export market.
