Bowmore 1964 Single Cask (Bottle number 5 of 99 )

Released for Oddbins in the year 2000, bottled from single cask 3709, this sherry hogshead cask was from the same batch of casks as the legendary Black Bowmore series. 

Unsurprisingly for such a limited release, this is extremely rare. 

This lot includes the miniature that originally came along with the product, the key to keep the cabinet locked and the flyer that Oddbins released to promote the Whisky.

Glenfarclas 1956 Family Cask Autumn 2014 

One of the oldest recent releases in the Family Cask range by Glenfarclas.  This Autumn 2014 released was distilled in 1956 and bottled from a single plain butt #1768 on 9th July 2014.

One of the oldest recent releases in the Family Cask range by Glenfarclas.  This Summer 2014 released was distilled in 1954 and bottled from a single plain butt #1259 on 25th March 2014.

Glendronach 1972 Single Cask 37 Year Old Batch #1

The very first single cask batch released after the distillery was taken over by Benriach in 2008. 

These helped establish Glendronach as the new home of heavily sherried whisky. 

Distilled in March 1972 and then bottled in July 2009 after being matured inOloroso butt number 719.

Glenfiddich Spirit of a Nation 29 Year Old

A limited edition Glenfiddich produced to commemorate the four brave servicemen and women who were wounded while serving in the armed forces and who set out on an epic 335km race to the South Pole. Glenfiddich are sponsoring the expedition and this bottle was released to commemorate the event.  

Released exclusively in the UK this refill sherry cask was filled in 1984 and select by Glenfiddich's Malt Master.  The whisky spent a brief finishing period in a cask which toured events in support of the 'Walking With the Wounded UK South Pole Challenge Team'.  

Only 200 bottles were released.

Glendronach 1972 Single Cask 40 Year Old

Distilled in February 1972 and then bottled in March 2013 from single cask number 704 which was an Oloroso sherry butt. Bottled for Spirit Empire in China.

Glenfarclas 1961 Family Cask / Autumn 2014 

One of the oldest recent releases in the Family Cask range by Glenfarclas.  This Autumn 2014 released was distilled in 1961 and bottled from a single sherry hogshead  #3055  on 9th July  2014.

Glenlivet 1955 Gordon and Macphail 49 Year Old

Distilled in 1955 and bottled in 2005 this is a very old Glen Grant bottled by G&M under their Smith's label. 

Brora 30 Year Old 2007 Release

The 2007 release of Brora from Diageo, similiar to other releases prior to this it is a 30 year old.

One of Brora's legendary 1972 vintage bottlings from Gordon and Macphail, the majority of which have scored well into the 90s from Whisky Fun.

This Connoisseur's Choice bottling was distilled in 1972 and bottled in 1993.

A very rare bottling of Glenmorangie distilled in 1993 and finished in Truffle Oak casks.

Glen Flagler 1972 Signatory Vintage 23 Year Old

This is a rare Signatory vintage bottling of this long lost distillery that was once part of the Moffat distilling complex.

Distilled on 10th November 1972 and bottled on 26th June 1996 from cask number #228442.

Bottle number 85 of 255.

Condition is excellent.

Glenfiddich 1963 Cadenhead's 24 Year Old / 1st Edition

Distilled April 1963 and bottle Novmber 1987, This is the world's top selling malt bottled by Cadenhead. 

Glenmorangie 1975 Cote De Nuit 25 Year Old

Rumoured to be an exceptional Glenmorangie, this legendary malt was matured in bourbon casks prior to being finished in Cote de Nuit Burgundy Grand Cru casks.

Bruichladdich 1986 Blacker Still 20 Year Old

Bruichladdich released the Blacker Still in 2006, matured exclusively in Oloroso sherry casks for 20 years. 

This was the first release in the ‘Still’ series and quickly became an icon of collectable Bruichladdich. 

Only 2840 bottles were produced, this is bottle number 1461 of 2840.

Glenglassaugh 1972 Single Cask 41 Year Old

A recent old release from the long closed but now reopened distillery. 

Distilled in 1972 then matured in a single Sherry Butt numbered 2114 for 41 years. 

This is bottle number 100 of 582. 

Glenury Royal 1966 Cadenhead's 23 Year Old

Distilled in May 1966 and bottled in Spetember 1990 from the now closed Highland distillery Glenury. 

Bruichladdich 1970  35 Year Old 125th Anniversary

This 35 year old Bruichladdich was bottled to celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the distillery.

Presented in a lovely wooden box including a certificate of authenticity.

Brora 1978 Gordon and Macphail 35 Year Old

Released recently by Gordon and Macphail, this 35 year old Brora was distilled in 1978 and bottled in 2013.

Distilled November 1962 and then bottled in March 1979, this is a 16 year old Glenburgie bottled by Cadenhead.  

Brora 1977 Rare Malts 21 Year Old

A 21 year old Brora distilled in 1977 and bottled in October 1998.

Glenfarclas (Ballindalloch) 1965 Douglas Laing 40 Year Old

Not to be confused with the new Ballindalloch distillery (established 2014),  Valley of the Green Grass tranlslated to gaelic means Glenfarclas. 

Distilled in 1965 and bottled in 2005, this whisky has spent 40 years in a sherry butt. 

One of 194 bottles. 

Brora 1977 Rare Malt 21 Year Old

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

Brora closed in 1983 and over the years has contributed to 13 different Rare Malt Selection releases.  This bottle was distilled in 1977 and bottled in October 1998 as a 21 year old.

Glendronach 33 Year Old

Distilled in 1971, this was released in 2004 to great acclaim. Jim Murray gave this 95 out of 100 in his Whisky Bible, then the blind and expert pannel of Judges at the San Francisco Spirits Competition gave it a Gold Medal.  

Bowmore 25 Year Old/ The Gulls

Yet another of Bowmore's many legends.

Back in the day, When the Scots traveled from their Celtic lands to create the Kingdom of Dalriada-in-Alban, the Pictish and Brythonic tribes who already lived in the lands resisted fiercely. Legend says that the daughter of a Pictish King fell in love with a captured Scottish warrior and helped him escape. Together they fled westwards to Islay. Rowing towards the young warrior's home on the shores of Loch Indaal, a terrible storm assaulted their boat, sending it crashing into the rocky coast line.

The young Scot's clansmen found only debris and no sign of the lovers - but a pair of white gulls soared and swooped together across the Loch, settling neither on the western nor the eastern shore, as if torn between the two.

... on the whisky front this is a 25 year old Bowmore presented in a stunning blue decanter with a stylish box.

Banff 1964 Cadenhead's 15 Year Old

This Aberdeenshire distillery has been closed since the 1980s.

Distilled in February 1964  and bottled by Cadenhead's in March 1979.

The condition is excellent.

Glenturret 1965 Cadenhead's 25 Year Old

Distilled in May 1965 and then bottled October 1990, this is a 25 year old Glenturret bottled by Cadenhead. 

Balvenie Tun 1401 Batch #2

A marriage of 7 American Oak casks and 3 European Oak Sherry casks went into creating Batch 2, a limited release of 2,226 bottles. A very highly sought after range from Balvenie.

As with the other releases of Balvenie Tun 1401, these whiskies are hand-selected by Malt Master David Stewart. Seven traditional whisky casks and three sherry butts are combined and rested for several months in Tun 1401 – The Balvenie’s traditional oak marrying vessel.
