Macallan 30 Year Old Masters of Photography Rankin Edition 

The Masters of Photography series of whiskies by Macallan currently contains four releases. This is the first release presented by John Rankin Waddle or simply Rankin.  Macallan commissioned Rankin to produce a limited edition series of photographs to be matched with Macallan 30 year old.  The photographs were taken over one summer and range from staff members, to scenery, equipment and in some cases, nude portraits of Rankins muse over barrels, wash backs and stills.

Only 1,000 bottles and photographs were chosen for this edition and the presentation box contains one of the original Rankin Polaroid photograph. Pair with 30 year old  Macallan Fine Oak.

Macallan 30 Year Old Sherry Oak

The incredibly desirable and elusive Macallan 30 year old sherry oak, spends it's entire maturation period within Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez.

This recent release from Macallan carries Whisky Tint #26, signed by Bob Dalgarno.

Macallan 30 Year Old Fine Oak

Macallan 30 year old Fine Oak edition matured in a mixture of European and American oak casks.  

Presented in the recent elegant wooden box

Brora 30 Year Old 2002 Release (First Edition)

This is a bottle of the original 30 year old Brora released within Diageo's Super Premium malts, back in 2002.  

Bottle number 2,617  of 3,000.

Macallan 1963 Anniversary Malt 25 Year Old 75cl

One of Macallan's famed Anniversary Malt 25 year old, distilled in 1963 and bottled in 1988.

As the label reads 'A special bottling of unblended single highland malt scotch whisky over 25 years old'.

Please note the discolouration to the label, there is no box.

Brora 30 Year Old 2006 Release

The fourth release of 30 year old Brora released as part of the 'special release' series in 2006 by Diageo.

Bottle 188 of 2130 bottles.

Please note, there is some rust on the lid and inside the box.

Macallan 1996 Easter Elchies 2013

The Easter Elchies single cask bottlings from Macallan are released annually exclusive to Macallan distillery.  This was released over two days in November and December 2013 to incredibly high demand and a number of unhappy customers.

Distilled in 1996 and matured until 2013, this 17 year old single sherry butt #26 yielded 390 bottles.340 were sold at the distillery, the other 50 were presumably sold to staff.

Macallan 1970 18 Year Old

A very well presented Macallan 18 year old, distilled in 1970 and bottled in 1988.

Please note that this lot has been provided by Queensferry Care and is being auctioned entirely to raise money for this charity. 

Queensferry Care was established in 1993 as a registered charity. The mission of the organisation is to provide quality support services to older people and carers within the communities of rural north-west Edinburgh. Macallan Coronation

The latest in the Macallan royal bottlings, this release from June 2013 consists of two 35cl bottles with a box designed by David Holmes. One bottle depicts the queen from 1953, matured solely in American oak sherry seasoned casks, while the other matured in Spanish sherry seasoned casks.   Only 1,953 boxes were produced to convey the date of the coronation in 1953.

Only available on Macallan’s website or at the distillery this quickly became one of the fastest selling releases of 2013.

A very well looked after bottle of Macallan 18 year old, distilled in 1971 and bottled in 1989.

Box and bottle are in excellent condition.

Brora 25 Year Old 2008 Release

The 8th and youngest release of Brora from Diageo, released in 2008.

Bottle number 1,718 of 3,000.

Bowmore Bicentenary

Released in 1979 this legendary bottling of Bowmore contains whisky vatted from a selection of casks from the 1960s.  This Bicentenary Bowmore, released in 1979 is widely considered one of the best Bowmore's ever bottled.

These casks were matured exclusively in Bowmore's famous No.1 Vaults warehouse,  the original warehouse at the distillery, dating back to 1779.

The bottle, bearing the Morrison clan coat of arms, is a replica of a hand blown decanter and was filled in the distillery early in 1979.

26 2/3 fl oz.

Please note this bottle does show age, discolouration of the label and chipping to the wax seal , whcih as shown in the photograph is still sealed but damaged.

No box.

Macallan 1974 18 Year Old

Macallan 18 year old distilled in 1984 and bottled in 1993.

Condition of bottle and box is excellent!

Brora 1977 24 Year Old Rare Malt

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

Brora closed in 1983 and over the years has contributed to 13 different Rare Malt Selection releases.  This bottle was distilled in 1977 and bottled in October 2001 as a 24 year old. Bottle number 4546.

Brora 32 Year Old 2011 Release

The 2011 release of Brora by Diageo, was the first official bottling of Brora over the age of 30.

This is bottle number 1487 of 1,500.

Brora 30 Year Old 2009 Release

The 2009 release of Brora was rated very highly by John Hansell of The Whisky Advocat, of course we know what you are thinking.....it's Brora they are all rated very highly!

Distilled in 1956, this stunning old Macallan was bottled by Campbell, Hope and King, Elgin at 80 proof.

Please note the level has dropped to the bottom shoulder and there is staining across the labels.

Bowmore 1979 Cadenhead's 11 Year Old

A stunning vintage Bowmore, distilled in October 1979 and bottled in October 1990.

Released with Cadenhead's classic dumpy black and white label design.

Macallan 25 Year Old Gordon and Macphail Silver Jubilee

A very rare Gordon and Macphail bottling of Macallan bottled in 1977 for the Queen's Silver Jubilee.

A remarkable bottle of Macallan that was distilled in the early 1950s, bottle at 26 2/3 fluid ounces and 70 proof.

Bottled in 2011 this 29 year old Bowmore is presented in a stunning/sturdy wooden box.

Limited to only 501 bottles.

Balvenie Tun 1401 Batch #9 (US Exclusive) 75cl

From the distillery website, this was inspired by and produced in one of the oldest warehouses at our distillery, Batch 9 is a skillful marriage of some of the rarest treasures from Warehouse 24. It represents an unrepeatable selection of spirits sourced from eleven traditional whisky casks and three sherry butts, whose ages span a number of decades, and which have all been hand-selected by David Stewart. The whisky rested for several months in Tun 1401 – one of the distillery’s unique marrying vessels – to create a single malt that is greater than the sum of its already precious parts.

This expression was exclusively available in the U.S. market, and follows the hugely successful Batch 3 and Batch 6.

Please note this is a 75cl bottle.

The whisky was rested for several months in Tun 1401 – The Balvenie’s traditional oak marrying vessel – to create a single malt that enhances its already precious parts.

The expression has been exclusively created for the U.S. market, and follows the hugely successful Batch 3, which was released in 2011. In 2013, Batch 9 was also introduced especially for the U.S. market.

Matured in bourbon and Oloroso casks and bottled at cask strength, the new Balvenie 30 year old looks very appealing!

Bruichladdich Octomore Orpheus 2.2 

Similiarly to the Comus, the Orpheus release was equally peated to the same degree as its counter-part Octomore 2.1, at 140ppm.  The Orpheus was finished using Château Pétrus Bordeaux casks, recognised as one of the world’s top vineyards.  Matured for only 5 years this alongside the Comus have proven to be quite desirable bottlings.

Balvenie Tun 1401 Batch #7 (Travel Retail Exclusive)

As with the previous releases of Balvenie Tun 1401, these whiskies are hand-selected by Malt Master David Stewart. Nine traditional whisky casks and two sherry butts are combined and rested for several months in Tun 1401 – The Balvenie’s traditional oak marrying vessel.

The expression has been exclusively created for the travel retail market and consists of the casks shown below.

This is an impressive collection of Gordon and Macphail's 'book series' Scotland's Whiskies, Volumes 1 to 5.

Each book contains a variety of miniatures including some closed distilleries such as Glen Albyn, Convalmore and so on.

Octomore Discovery Feis Ile 2014 (Signed)

Perhaps the most desirable of the new Feis Ile releases, this is the first time Bruichladdich has released an Octomore for Feis Ile and it is incredibly limited with only 1,695 bottles being released.

Distilled on the 18th February 2007 and bottled for the 2014 Bruichladdich Open Day at Feis Ile, with a very impressive abv of 69.5%
