Hotaling & Co

The Hotaling & Co Distillery is located in San Francisco, California and is owned and operated by the import and distribution company of the same name. As of 2020, the majority ownership has been in the hands of UK-based company, Berry Brothers & Rudd. The distillery was first established as Anchor Distilling in 1993 by Fritz Maytag before being sold to the Griffin Group in 2010. When they subsequently sold the Anchor Brewing operation, the distilling business was required to change its name to Hotaling & Co in 2018.

The distillery produces a pot-distilled rye whiskey brand called Old Potrero. The first casks of which were laid down in 1994, with the brand launched two years later.
