Henstone
Henstone is an English craft distillery located near the Shropshire town of Oswestry. It was founded in 2017 by Chris and Alexandra Toller, and Shane and Alison Parr. The latter couple also run the Stonehouse brewery at the same site.
The distillery produces whisky, gin, vodka, apple brandy and corn liquor on a 1,000-litre pot and column hybrid still from Kothe in Germany.
The Henstone brand is used to market all of the distillery's spirit production. While the distillery began takin presales for its debut single malt whisky release before it had even laid down any spirit, its first bottles of Henstone-branded product was it gin which debuted in March 2018. This was followed by its Nonpareil apple brandy later that year. Its first corn liquor was bottled in 2020 and its first whisky followed in 2021.
The current iteration of the Henstone brand was launched in July 2019 when a new label design and bottle shape was introduced. The current core range is made up of three gins, a vodka, its corn liquor and apple brandy. It has no permanent whisky releases but the brand's single malt is available as a variety of small batch and single cask bottlings.
