Dublin Liberties
The Dublin Liberties distillery is located within the historic Dublin distilling district of the Liberties. It was opened in 2019 by the Quintessential Brands Group and is housed within an 18th century stone building, formerly used as a mill and a tannery that specialised in rabbit skins.
The distillery produces triple-distilled single malt whiskey from 100% Irish barley. Its spirit is still yet to be bottled, but will eventually provision the Dublin Liberties and The Dubliner brands.
The Dublin Liberties brand was trademarked by the Dublin Whiskey Company in 2014 and was acquired along with the company by the Quintessential Brands Group in 2016. Although the distillery of the same name is yet to provide any fillings for the brand, it is currently marketed using casks sourced elsewhere.
The current Dublin Liberties range is comprised of both blended and single malt Irish whiskies. Representing the former is a 5-year-old called Oak Devil, while single malts are available in 10-, 13- and 16-year-old expressions called Copper Alley, Murder Lane and Keepers Coin, respectively.
