Copenhagen
Established in the city after which it is named, Copenhagen was the Danish capital's first craft distillery. The idea for the project was conceived by Henrik Brinks in 2013, with the first spirit running from its German-made stills on 29th December 2014.
The distillery produces a range of products that include single malt whisky, gin, aquavit and other flavoured spirits.
The same Copenhagen distillery brand is used to market all of its spirits. The firs to be released were its unaged spirits such as its gin and traditional Scandinavian aquavit. The latter is available in two expressions, Long Pepper and Dill Anise, whereas the distillery's London Dry style gin is offered in three varieties: Orange, Angelica and Bay Leaf.
The distillery's first single malt bottlings were released in 2020 and the brand's range is divided between its Raw, Refined and Rare editions. Its Raw single malt is aged in non-charred virgin Hungarian oak, its Refined variety showcases its peated spirit and the Rare single malts are experimentally-produced using ancient grains and bespoke casks.
