Scaent Group

The Scaent Group was a Dutch-based investment company that's primary interest was the bulk supply of energy in Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. In 2008 it made an unusual diversification into the Scotch whisky industry however, purchasing the closed Glenglassaugh distillery from Edrington.

The company quickly revived distilling operations on the site, however its ownership was only brief and the distillery was sold on to Billy Walker's The Benriach Distillery Company in 2013.
