Exponent Private Equity

Exponent Private Equity LLP is a London-based private equity firm that primarily operates with businesses across the UK, Ireland and Europe. It was founded in 2004 and has investments across the media, financial services, consumer, and business sectors. 

In 2014 it made its first acquisition in the Scotch whisky industry, buying the Loch Lomond Distillery Company and its various spirits interests from Sandy Bulloch's Glen Catrine Bonded Warehouse. It set up Loch Lomond Group in order to manage these, headed up by a holding company called Loch Lomond Holdings. In 2019 it announced it had sold its stake to Hillhouse Capital.
