Age International
Age International Inc is a US-based subsidiary of the Japanese company, Takara Shuzo Co. It was originally established in 1983 by former Fleischmann's Distilling director's, Bob Baranaskas and Ferdie Falke. It acquired the Ancient Age and George T. Stagg distillery (now Buffalo Trace) in the same year and promptly developed a range of additional brands that include Blanton's, Elmer T. Lee and Rock Hill Farms.
When the company was acquired by Takara Shuzo Co in 1992, it was only interested in the brands and immediately sold the distillery to the Sazerac Company. Its portfolio continues to be distilled there on its behalf however, and Sazerac also manage the American distribution of Age International products.
