Hancock's President's Reserve
Hancock's President's Reserve is a single barrel bourbon brand that is part of the portfolio of Age International, the US-based whiskey division of Japanese multinational, Takara Shuzo. The whiskey is distilled under contract by Buffalo Trace using the higher-rye mash bill (known as #2), and the company also owns the distribution rights for the brand in the US.
Its name is a reference to Hancock Lee, who along with his brother Willis established Leestown to the north of the Frankfort settlement in 1775, now home to the Buffalo Trace distillery. The brand is limited to its sole proprietary single barrel offering and although sought-after, is only produced in limited batches.
