The Society Spirit bottlings from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society are so-called as they are finished in and bottled from casks at the 19 Greville Street branch in London, and as such cannot be referred to as Scotch whisky.
Ardmore
A malt whisky distillery located in the Highland region of Scotland. It was built by Adam Teacher at the end of the 19th century in order to service the blending needs of his family company, Wm. Teacher & Sons and is today the distillery is part of the portfolio Suntory Global Spirits.
Scotch Malt Whisky Society
A private members club established by Pip Hills in 1983. It has flagship members bars in Edinburgh, Glasgow and London, and partner venues across the world. Its regular outturn of single cask bottlings are renowned for their unique coded method of non-disclosure of their distilleries of origin.
