Ardbeg Fermutation 13 Year Old
This release was referred to as a "happy accident" after production came to a halt in November 2007 when a boiler breakdown led to the longest fermentation in Ardbeg distillery’s history. Typically, Ardbeg is fermented for 72 hours, however due to the boiler fault this fermented for an unprecedented 3 weeks resulting in what Ardbeg have called "The sharpest, zingiest and wildest Ardbeg ever!" Matured in first-fill and refill bourbon casks and aged for 13 years, this was released on 1 February 2022.
