Produced by Ainslie & Heilbron Distillers, Royal Edinburgh was a revered blend containing high quantities of malt from the original Clynelish distillery (nowadays known as Brora).

These versions with no measurements on their labels were produced for export markets in the 1970s.

A famous blended Scotch brand, originally registered by Ainslie & Heilbron Distillers under the ownership of the Distillers Company in 1937. Popular expressions included Royal Edinburgh and King's Legend before it was discontinued in the 1980s. The label was sold to Ets. P. Bruggeman in 1998.
