Ardbeg Galileo 1999

Released in September 2012, the Ardbeg Galileo quickly sold out at retailers. Aged for 12 - 13 years, the Galileo is a combination of casks matured in first-fill bourbon casks and a peculiar Marsala enhanced version of Ardbeg Alligator.

The Ardberg Distillery lies on the most Southernly part of Islay and on the rugged shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Ardberg is revered around the world as the peatiest, smokiest, most complex whisky of them all. Yet it does not flaunt the peat: rather the peat gives way to the malt, the natural sweetness of which subtly intrudes, producing perfect balance. 

Ardbeg Kildalton 2014

This Ardbeg was released in connection with the North Highland Initiative (NHI) a charity which helps rural communities across the Northern Highlands.

Elegantly packaged, it is a combination of first fill and refill ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks.  Please do not mistake this Kildalton for that which was released in 2004, 10 years previously.

Ardbeg Still Young 1998

Ardbeg Still Young was distilled in 1998 and released in 2006, the second release on the ‘path to peaty maturity’.

A young first filled bourbon casked Ardbeg, \"Beauty and the Beast\", distilled on the 14th of May 2007 then matured in a 2nd fill ex-sherry butt.

One of 624 bottles.

Arran Devil’s Punch Bowl Chapter III           

Released in 2014, Arran’s third and final edition of the Devil's Punch Bowl

A vatting consisting of  21 casks; 8 of which are Oloroso sherry casks, 8 French Oak Barriques and 5 bourbon casks. Following Chapter one and two, only 6,660 bottles were released.

Aberlour 16 Year Old Hand Filled Sherry Cask

A distillery exclusive, matured in sherry casks for 16 years before being hand bottled on 27th August 2016. Bottle number 196.

James Fleming, son of a local tenant farmer built Aberlour Distillery in 1879 after having worked at Dailuiane, Carron for ten years. Producing whisky from 1880 onwards until his death at the age of 65 in 1895. Fleming is buried opposite the distillery in the village cemetery. Robert Thorne & Sons bought the distillery and ran it until 1921. In 1921, Robert Thorne & Sons Ltd. sold the distillery to W. H. Holt & Sons, a brewery near Manchester. In 1945 S. Campbell & Sons Ltd. bought the distillery. In 1975 Pernod Ricard acquired Campbell Distilleries, and they joined with Chivas Brothers in 2001 forming a portfolio of 14 single malt distilleries and 1 grain distillery in Scotland, and 2 gin distilleries in England. In 2002, a new, modernized visitor centre was opened.

Arran 1996 Single Cask 19 Year Old /Spirits for Small Change

Distilled on the 14th of October 1996 and bottled in April 2016 after maturation in a sherry butt.

Isle of Arran Distillery is one of the few remaining independent distilleries in Scotland. The Distillery is in the village of Lochranza on the Norh-West tip of the Isle of Arran, where it is perfectly situated to capture the character of the beautiful island of pure mountain water and soft sea air washed by the Gulf stream. This hand-crafted malt has no added artificial colouring and is not chill-filtered at the bottling stage, thus ensuring  a completely natural Whisky which retains the full range of aromas and flavours which typify the Arran malt.

Ardbeg 1990 Gordon and MacPhail

A fantastic example of an Ardbeg from the early 90s. There are very very few Ardbeg's from this time in the 1990s as production at the distillery was sparse.

Glenmorangie took over the distillery in 1997, restarting production full-time.

Distilled in 1990 and bottled by Gordon and MacPhail in 2001.

Released as Ardbeg’s 2013 Feis Ile offering at the start of June on Ardbeg Day, coinciding with the festival celebrations. A vatting of 10 year old Ardbeg matured in bourbon casks with a ‘heart’ matured in Manzanilla sherry casks.

Old Fitzgerald 1849

An 8 year old bourbon distilled at Heaven Hill, highly rated by Dave Broom in Whisky Mag.

Oban 1980 Distillers Edition

The 1980 Oban Distiller's Edition, double matured in Montilla Fino sherry wood.

Old Pulteney 1990 Vintage

A small batch Old Pulteney, distilled in 1990 and matured in American ex-bourbon casks and Spanish ex-sherry casks which previously held heavily peated whisky.

Ardbeg Blasda

The tamed version of Ardbeg, well to a degree anyway, Ardbeg Blasda was peated to an average of 8ppm compared to the more usual 24ppm.  Rather controversially, the Blasda was also bottled in clear glass, at 40% and has been chill filtered, un-like Ardbeg's other releases which are typically un-chillfiltered and bottled in the iconic green bottle at 46% or above.Now discontinued and becoming increasingly difficult to find.

Auchentoshan 2004 Single Oloroso Cask Distillery Exclusive

A distillery exclusive Auchentoshan, distilled on 23rd September 2004 and bottled on 23rd June 2016 from a single Oloroso cask #934.

Angels Envy Port Wine Finish

Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey finished in Port wine barrels. 

A small batch of between 8 to 10 barrels typically aged for up to 6 years, then finished in Ruby port wine casks for between three and six months.

Orphan Barrel Forged Oak 15 Year Old
