Dailuaine 1980 Cask Strength 34 Year Old

A very rare official bottling of Dailuaine.

Distilled in 1980 and bottled in 2015 as part of Diageo's annual Special releases.

Matured in refill American oak casks.

This is bottle number 1130 of 2952 bottles. 

Damoiseau Millesime 1980 Rhum Vieux Full Proof

Rhum Damoiseau are distilled at Bellevue distillery in the French Caribbean island of Guadeloupe from 100% fresh-pressed sugarcane and no molasses - this results in a fresh character rum without any rubberiness.

After distillation, the rum is stocked in oak barrels that have previously been used for bourbon.  Given the hot climate in Guadeloupe, the casks experience an evaporation rate of almost 50% after 10 years, while also imparting into the spirit a light brown colour.

This 1980 vintage was bottles at a full proof of 60%.

This release is a marriage of single malt whisky matured in two cask types, Port and Bourbon, and bottled exclusively for SuperValu.

Johnnie Walker Celebrity 1970s

This was a limited release Johnnie Walker from the early 1970s, apparently limited to just over 1000 bottles. 

Presented in the bottle for the rather elegant Johnnie Walker Swing, named as the bottle is designed to rock gently back and forth if it so desires.

There are no measurements for volume or ABV on the bottle.

The Ghost and Rare blends will focus on Scotland's lost and sorely missed distilleries, with this first release built around malt from the legendary Brora. Other \"Ghosts\" rearing their welcome heads from the annals of whisky history is malt from lost Speyside distillery Pittyvaich, and Cambus grain, which closed in 2002 and 1993 respectively.

Given that Brora shut it's doors in 1983, were talking about whisky that was distilled at least 34 years ago!

Speaking of the Ghost and Rare series, master blender Jim Beveridge had the following to say:

“Whiskies from these ghost distilleries are becoming increasingly rare. Bottled from casks #1498 and #1498 this independent bottling of Dallas Dhu from Signatory Vintage was distilled on the 17th May 1974 and bottled in April 1993.

Joseph Magnus Cognac Cask Bourbon / Prav Saraff Exclusive

Joseph Magnus is is an historic bourbon brand, first established in 1892, and re-established in 2015 by Jimmy Turner, who opened the Jos. A. Magnus distillery in Washington, DC.

Finished in Cognac casks, the liquid has been bottled exclusively from the private barrels of Prav Saraff, generally sourced from MGP in Indiana and matured in the warehouses at Heaven Hill.

Bottle number 5 of only 152 produced.

Johnnie Walker King George V 

Bottled to celebrate the first Royal Warrant being granted to John Walker and Sons Ltd to supply scotch whisky to the British Royal Household in 1934.  Johnnie Walker King George V was designed to replicate Johnnie Walker from this day, some Port Ellen was used in the making of this alongside Cardhu, Royal Lochnagar and some well aged grain whisky.

Presented in a stunning decanter and packaging.

A rare official bottling of Dallas Dhu bottled by Historic Scotland to mark the 400th Anniversary of the Union of the Crowns, 1603 to 2003.

One of only 288. Comes complete with letter of authenticity from Historic Environment Scotland (fomerly Historic Scotland).

Dailuaine 17 Year Old Manager's Dram 2000

The Manager’s Dram series of whiskies were bottled exclusively for employees of what is now known as Diageo. These whiskies were selected by the respective distillery managers within Diageo malt distilling and bottled at natural cask strength.

A 17 year old Dailuaine, matured in sherry oak casks and chosen by the distillery manager bottled on 20th November 2000.

Janneau 50 Year Old Grande Fine Armagnac

Old Armagnac is one of the best kept secrets of the fine spirit world. Without the prestige of it's sibling Cognac, bottles like this slipped under the radar for collectors and most have ended up in the snifters of the those in the know and rarely finding their way to the auction market.

Slumbering half a century in oak before bottling in 1981 we are, quite frankly amazed this has gone so long unopened and now that it has, it almost seems a shame to disturb it. 

Whether for drinking or collecting, this venerable eau de vie - laid down before the WWII - is a fantastic acquisition. 

Demerara Dark Rum 1994 Samaroli / Bottle No.1

A 1994 vintage Demerara dark rum from an unnamed distillery in the Guyana Republic.

Bottled in June 2006 after maturing in Scotland.

Bottle number 1 of only 346 produced.

A very rare special edition Johnnie Walker Blue Label designed in Commemoration of the Voyager Yacht sailing through Asia from September 2012 to March 2013. 

Very unusually for Walker, this has been bottled at a high strength of 48%.

Johnnie Walker Oldest is the original bottling of what we now know as Johnnie Walker Blue Label. These are becoming more and more difficult to find.

The blend contains whiskies aged 15 to 60 years old.
