Chichibu Ichiro's Malt On The Way 2015 Release

Ichiro Akuto's Chichibu distillery has be producing malts for a while now, this was released in 2015 and is made from various vintages comprising 2008 onwards.

All matured in bourbon casks and then finished in Mizunara. 

One of of 10,700 bottles.

Camus Napoleon Extra Cognac Decanter / Moscow Olympics 1980

Camus is a well established Cognac brand that carries history back to 1863 when Jean-Baptiste Camus founded a group of Cognac producers under the banner 'La Grande Marque'.  

This is a limited edition version of their Limoges porcelain decanters, bottled to commemorate the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow.

There are no markings for volume or strength on the bottle but it is approximately 70cl.

Glendronach 1995 Single Cask 22 Year Old #3045 / Taiwan Exclusive

A 22 year old Pedro Ximenez puncheon matured Glendronach, part of their popular single cask series.

Distilled in October 1995 and bottled in 2018, exclusively for Taiwan.

George Dickel Old No.12 Brand Golf Club Bottle Quart 1960s

A sour mash produced in Tennessee at the Cascade Hollow distillery in Tullahoma.

The brand and distillery are now owned by Diageo, however this bottle dates to around 1967, only a few years after the distillery was re-opened by the Scheney company following their failure to acquire Tennessee neighbours, Jack Daniel's. Bottled in an interesting Golf Club shaped bottle. Decanter bottlings were all the rage in this period, a practice spearheaded with significant fervour by Jim Beam.

Interestingly, the Old No.8 and Old No.12 brands used by George Dickel were selected solely on the basis of consumer studies, which revealed these numbers to be most appealing. Neither has ever had anything to do with the age of the whisky, however it would be expected that the fact these numbers were synonymous with popular age-statements elsewhere would have been part of the appeal.

An independent bottling of Glen Scotia. Distilled in 1992 and matured in an ex-sherry hogshead before being bottled in 2011 for Liquid Sun.

Caledonian 29 Year Old That Boutique-y Whisky Company Batch #2

This is a 29 year old single grain from Caledonian distillery, which was based in Edinburgh and closed in 1988.

Bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company, the label bears a lovely depiction of Edinburgh.

Camus is a well established Cognac brand that carries history back to 1863 when Jean-Baptiste Camus founded a group of Cognac producers under the banner 'La Grande Marque'.

This bottling is presented in a Limoges Castel decanter shaped like an egg.

Gilded with 22k gold.

Glenrothes 1996 Douglas Laing 21 Year Old / XOP

This is a Douglas Laing bottling of Glenrothes, part of their Xtra Old Particular series. XOP is their ultra-premium range, launched in 2013 and reserved for casks considered the \"family jewels.\"

Distilled in 1996 and bottled from a single refill bourbon hogshead #12377 in March 2018.

Glen Grant 1964 5 Year Old

An older bottling of 5 year old Glen Grant distilled in 1964.

Glen Grant 6 year old remains the best selling single malt in Italy, heavily promoted there by Armando Giovinetti around the period this was produced. He believed younger expressions would be better suited to compete with the grappa loving tastes of his countrymen.

Compass Box Gold Standard 75cl / Binny's 70th Anniversary

Binny's Beverage Depot is the American mid-west's largest wine, spirits and beer superstore. For their 70th anniversary, Compass box produced this blend named after Binny's original name, \"Gold Standard\". 

The liquid contains 15% old grain, along with American Oak, French oak and sherry matured highland single malts and 6% heavily peated Islay malt. 

One of only 895 bottles. 

Glenrothes 1988 Liquid Sun 25 Year Old

This Glenrothes was distilled in 1988, matured in a refill butt for 25 years and bottled in 2015 by Liquid Sun.

Cadenhead Creations 44 Year Old Light Fruity Sherry Batch #1​

A mature blend with a malt component of Glenfarclas and Glenlivet, as well as grain from Invergordon. Finished in a fresh Sherry hogshead for it's final year.

This was an exclusive hand-fill bottling available at Glenfiddich distillery throughout the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival 2018.

Distilled in 2005 and matured in a single bourbon cask number #41774, which was specially selected by Glenfiddich's Malt Master, Brian Kinsman.

This bottle features a hand-written label.

Glenfarclas 1988 Limited Rare Edition No.22 / Thomas Reid

A 1988 vintage Glenfarclas, bottled exclusively for the German market. This is Edition No.22 in the Limited Rare Bottling series, and features British philospher Thomas Reid (1710-1796) on the label.

Bottled in 2018 from sherry casks.

This bottling is part of the Grand Masters Collection, and features a depiction of Pierre-Auguste Renoir's 1876 masterpiece Spring Bouquet, on a Limoges Castel decanter. 

Gilded with 22k gold.

There is no volume or ABV stated on the bottle.

Glendullan 12 Year Old 1980s

This 12 year old Glendullan is an old official bottling from the 1980s, prior to Diageo's purchase of the distillery.

Glen Garioch 10 Year Old / CAMRA AGM 1989

An older bottling of Glen Garioch 10 year old especially bottled for the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) AGM 1989

Interestingly, up until 1995 Glen Garioch was a heavily peated spirit, so these old bottles are radically different from contemporary examples and well worth grabbing.

Glenfiddich Cask of Dreams 2012 75cl / US Import​

This is a bottle of the second and final Cask of Dreams release by Glenfiddich, strictly to the US market in 2012.

Individuals were asked to sign and record their dreams on casks that was travelling around America.  Once finished of the tour the cask was flown back to Scotland and filled with 14 year old Glenfiddich and matured for a further three months.  The total out-turn of the Cask of Dreams was 3,500 bottles available only within the US.
