Ardbeg Kelpie Committee Release

The Ardbeg committee release for 2017, this has been matured in virgin casks crafted from oak grown on land in the Adyghe Republic - a Russian federal subject just north of Georgia, on the northeast coast of the Black Sea.

Arran 1995 Single Cask 

A single cask Arran, distilled on 19th December 1995 and bottled 11th May 2004.

Ocean Whisky 12 Year Old / Sanraku Ocean Co / Karuizawa

These early bottlings of Karuizawa were mostly blends featuring grain whiskies from either Yamanashi or Kawasaki, released under the Sanraku-Ocean brand.

Aberlour 12 Year Old Sherry Cask Selection / Aberlour Village Bicentenary

A special release 12 year old of Aberlour, bottled in in 2012 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the founding of Aberlour village.

Bottled at cask strength.

Octomore 2002 Futures

The original Futures release, distilled on the 16th October 2002 and bottled in April 2008.

This 5 year old October was matured exclusively in Buffalo Trace casks, peated to 80.5ppm.

One of 9600 bottles.

Ardbeg 1998 Adelphi 11 Year Old

From Adelphi independent bottling company, this is an 11 year old, Ardbeg distilled in 1998, filled from the single cask #1980.

One of only 212 bottles.

Ardbeg Serendipity 12 Year Old

The serendipitous result of an accident that occurred when a batch of 12 year old Glen Moray got mixed into a larger batch of (allegedly much older) Ardbeg - back in the day when both distilleries were owned by Glenmorangie plc.

This blended malt was simply 20% Glen Moray and 80% Ardbeg.

Released in 2005, there were 16,000 bottles made available.

Ocean Black 1986 / Karuizawa 

Karuizawa produced outstanding whiskies, many of which have received international acclaim. They have released almost 300 single casks, which are becoming increasingly rarer and rarer as demand soars.

This is an older bottle of whisky produced by Sanraku Ocean Co. the parent company of Merican, who were owners of Karuizawa distillery. This enabled the company to use Karuizawa single malt in their 'Ocean' line of whiskies.

Ardbeg Day Miniature 5cl / Feis Ile 2012

Released on 1st June 2012 as Ardbeg’s annual Feis Ile bottling, it was not only available at Ardbeg Distillery, but also via 100 of Ardbeg’s ‘embassies’.

The hugely popular Ardbeg Day was a limited run of 12,000 bottles partially married in ex refill sherry casks used to mature whisky for the Ardbeg Uigeadail.

Abraham Bowman 2004 Sequential Series 37.5cl

Distilled by the Sazerac company at their A Smith Bowman distillery, using the same #1 mashbill as George T Stagg.

The whiskey is named for Colonel Abraham Bowman, who led the American revolutionary war unit The 8th Virginia Regiment or German Regiment. His ancestors founded the A Smith Bowman distillery. 

This is not strictly a bourbon, having been matured in a 2nd use barrel. Part of the \"Sequential Series.\"

In his book about the A.H. Hirsch Reserve, Chuck Cowdery recommends A. Smith Bowman products as one to try for those seeking an more easily sourced, but equally good-tasting bourbon experience.

The style has been inspired by the history of illicit distilling on the Island of Islay. Many islanders were involved in this activity, including Allan and Alexander the uncles of John McDougall founder of Ardbeg distillery. 

This is the general release, a more available lower ABV edition launched for Ardbeg Day/Night.

Aberlour 1999 Reserve Collection 17 Year Old / Cask Strength Edition 

This cask strength single vintage Aberlour is a vatting of casks #4868 and #4886, both distilled on the 2nd of July 1999 and matured for 17 years before bottling at cask strength

Bottle number 510 of only 594.

Available exclusively from Chivas Brothers distilleries. 

Ardbeg Blasda

This tamed version of Ardbeg was peated to an average of 8ppm compared to the more usual 24ppm. Rather controversially, the Blasda was also bottled in clear glass, at 40% and has been chill filtered, un-like Ardbeg's other releases which are typically un-chillfiltered and bottled in the iconic green bottle at 46% or above.

Now discontinued and becoming increasingly difficult to find.

Ardbeg 2005 North Star 12 Year Old

An independent 12 year old Ardbeg bottled by North Star Spirits..

Distilled March 2005 and matured in refill hogshead prior to being bottled in February 2018. This is part of North Star's Cask Series #004.

One of only 332 bottles.

Arran Scottish Painters / William Miller Frazer

This is the first release in the Arran Scottish painters collection and features the work of William Miller Frazer.

The accompanying print is numbered 1577 of 3000. 

Ardbeg Ardbog

Released as Ardbeg’s annual Feis Ile offering at the start of June. Alongside Ardbeg distillery, it was also released at Ardbeg Embassies. 

A vatting of 10 year old Ardbeg matured in bourbon casks with a ‘heart’ matured in Manzanilla sherry casks.

Old Forester 1951 Bottled in Bond Kentucky Bourbon Miniature

Old Forester is one of bourbon's historic brands. It was one of the first to ever be sold by the bottle in order to ensure quality control to capitalise on the medicinal whiskey trade in the 19th century. It was even named after local Louisville physician, Dr. William Forrester (they dropped the second 'R' fro the name when he retired). Produced by Brown-Forman at their distillery in Shively, Kentucky.

This is a very rare miniature of Bottled in Bond Old Forester, distilled in 1951 and bottle in 1958.

Ocean Status / Karuizawa

A very rare and wonderful old bottling of Japanese blended whisky, produced by Ocean, former owners of Karuizawa and likely to contain a high proportion of the legendary liquid.  

The stopper in this bottle is not secure and is susceptible to leakage. As such, this lot is offered for collection only from our office is Perth, Scotland.

Arran 21st Anniversary Limited Edition

A fantastic limited edition Arran, bottled to celebrate the 21st anniversary of Arran distillery.  

A limited release of 5,988 bottles were produced from a selection of ex-sherry hogsheads from the first three years of production at the distillery.

Octomore 6.1 Scottish Barley

Octomore is the super-heavily peated expression from Bruichladdich distillery on Islay. This has a ridiculously high peating level of 167 ppm.

Aged for 5 years and made with barley grown exclusively in Scotland.

Aberlour 1997 Reserve Collection / Cask Strength Edition

The Reserve Collection has been created to replace the Cask Strength series of bottlings from Chivas Brothers.  This Cask Strength edition, alongside their Single Cask editions are only available at Chivas Brother's distilleries.

Distilled on 12th December 1997 and bottled on 8th July 2015 from five casks;: #17749, #17756 - 58, #17771.

Old Forester is one of bourbon's historic brands. Amrut Raw Cask Blackadder Bourbon Cask

An independently bottled Amrut from Blackadder. 

This single cask has been bottled at cask strength in September 2017 after being aged in bourbon cask.

One of 160 bottles. 

Old Mull Fine Scotch Half Gallon 1970s

Named after the Island of Mull, this blend has been around since the 1870s. 

Produced by John Hopkins & Co this is a blend that contains a high amount of Oban.

Arran 20 Year Old The Explorers Series Volume 1 / Brodick Bay

This is the first release in Arran Distillery's The Explorers Series, which replaces the now-discontinued Smugglers' Series which celebrated the island's illicit whisky history. This new range instead celebrates the island's natural charms. 

Their first expression is titled 'Brodick Bay', with the label depicting the picturesque bay on Arran's east coast. 

Matured initially in ex-bourbon barrels and ex-sherry hogsheads, Brodick Bay is then finished in ex-Oloroso sherry butts.
