Ardbeg Perpetuum Distillery Release

As Ardbeg distillery turns 200 years old there will no doubt be a few new limited releases, starting with the Perpetuum.  

This is the distillery only release, it was available from the distillery shop and briefly online. 

The Distillery Release is restricted to around 12,000 bottles and has a higher ABV than the Bicentenary Release.

Aberlour 16 Year Old Hand Filled Sherry Cask

Matured in sherry casks for 16 years then hand bottled on 24th October 2015.

Dufftown 1974 Corshelloch / Whisky Connoisseur 19 Year Old

Whisky Connoisseur are private independantly bottled whiskies from Arthur J.A Bell, Biggar, Scotland.  

They are quite hard to find these days and usually contain very interesting single cask whiskies from the lesser known distilleries, in this case from Dufftown. 

This unusual vintage Dufftown was distilled on 19th August 1974 and matured for 19 years in cask #7741.

Ardbeg Galileo 1999

Released in September 2012, the Ardbeg Galileo quickly sold out at retailers.

Aged for 12- 13 years, the Galileo is a combination of casks matured in first-fill bourbon casks and a peculiar Marsala enhanced version of Ardbeg Alligator.

Arran 2004 Single Sherry Cask Gent Festival 2015

Distilled on the 20th of September 2014 (Typo for 2004) and bottled in November 2014 this is a single cask Arran bottled for the Whisky Unlimited at the 2015 Gent Whisky Festival. 

Bottle number 39 of 321. 

Arran Devil’s Punch Bowl Chapter III           

Released in 2014, Arran’s third and final edition of the Devil's Punch Bowl

A vatting of consisting of  21 casks; 8 of which are Oloroso sherry casks, 8 French Oak Barriques and 5 bourbon casks. Following Chapter one and two, only 6,660 bottles were released.

Auchroisk 1975 Douglas Laing 33 Year Old

Distilled in April 1975 and bottled 33 years later in May 2008.

One of 185 bottles.

Aultmore 1983 Flora and Fauna Cask Strength

This Aultmore was distilled in 1983 and bottled as part of the Flora and Fauna Series in 1997. 

Only a few distilleries in this series were fortunate enough to be bottled at cask strength.

Dalmore King Alexander III

Crafted to honour the act of saving Scotland’s King in 1263, this expression unites six specially selected casks housing spirit of perfect maturity. Whiskies matured in ex-bourbon casks, Matusalem oloroso sherry wood, Madeira barrels, Marsala casks, port pipes and Cabernet Sauvignon wine barriques are brought together. 

Dalmore King Alexander is at the top of the core-range of Dalmore.

Ardbeg Ardbog

Released as Ardbeg’s annual Feis Ile offering at the start of June, alongside Ardbeg distillery it was also released at Ardbeg Embassies. 

A vatting of 10 year old Ardbeg matured in bourbon casks with a ‘heart’ matured in Manzanilla sherry casks. 

Ardbeg Alligator 5cl

A very rare 5cl bottle of Ardbeg Alligator.

A fierce charring to the cask, an 'alligator char' provides the name for this whisky, aggressive heat when applied to the inside of the casks causes the cracking of the wood which re-sembles that of an Alligators skin. 

Following the acclaimed committee release, the un-tamed edition was released in 2011 and quickly sold out.

 1998 vintage Champagne from Dom Perignon.

Dailuaine 23 Year Old SMWS 41.42

Otherwise labelled as 'Seduction in an Austrian Coffee House'.

A 23 Year Old Dailuaine limited to only 220 bottles.

De Luze Extra Delight Fine Champagne Cognac

The flagship Cognac from De Luze, presented in a very elegant decanter and presentation case. 

Distilled at Domaine Boinaud.

The well known Dalmore Cigar malt prior to being discontinued in 2009 and eventually returning in the form of Dalmore Cigar Malt Reserve.

Released on Ardbeg Day 2015 (30th of May) this was available from Ardbeg Embassies world wide. 

Not to be confused with the distillery release, this has a slightly lower ABV and a box. 

Ardbeg 1993 Douglas Laing 10 Year Old

Distilled in November 1993 and bottled by Douglas Laing within their well known Old Malt Cask series, this 10 year old Ardbeg was bottled in January 2004.

One of 391 bottles.

Auchentoshan 1992 SMWS 10 Year Old 5.8

An old release from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society. 

Distilled in February 1992 and bottled in July 2002. 

Ardbeg Auriverdes US Import 75cl 

The new and shiny Ardbeg Auriverdes, launched on 31st May 2014 on 'Ardbeg Day' which coincides with the 'Ardbeg Day' with the Islay Festival.  

The Auriverdes (Auri = Gold and Verdes = Green) is named after the Brazilian sports teams colours whilst also referring to Ardbeg's iconic green bottle and the 'golden' whisky inside.
