Mannochmore 1977 First Cask 22 Year Old

An independently bottled 1977 Mannochmore by First cask. 

Distilled on the 24th November 1977 and matured in single cask #95/23/12.

Hine 1988 Cognac

Distilled in 1988 and bottled in 2005, grande champagne Cognac from Hine.

Distilled in 1966 then matured in sherry casks for 26 years.

Haig's Gold Label 1950s

A bottle of Gold Label from Haig released during the 1950s. 

The Haig family had a long history of distilling going back as far as the 15th Century. Since 1824 when Cameronbridge distillery was opened by John Haig, Haig has been a big brand in the whisky world. As part of a distilling dynasty John Haig became important in the regulation of Whisky production and was a spokesman for the industry. Although the brand began to shrink in the 1970s, in the last year it has seen a healthy revival with the help of Mr Posh Spice David Beckham.

A stunning and very old bottle 1920s Madeira. We don't know a great deal about this rare wine however as a reserve wine, the contents are likely from the late nineteenth century.

The winery Manuel de Sousa dates back to the eighteenth century succeeded by the winery Manuel de Sousa & Herdeiros in the twentieth century.

Hammerhead 1989 23 Year Old Czech Single Malt

Distilled at the state owned Pradlo distillery in Czechoslovakia, it was put in to Czech oak casks. Then the global political landscape changed in a sudden and drastic way... and this single malt was forgotten. 

Sitting in a cellar maturing until it was discovered in the Czech Republic 20 years later. 

A real pleasant surprise as this socialist whisky produced behind the iron curtain is really rather excellent.

Hazelburn 2003 Rundelts and Kilderkins

A limited bottling of Hazelburn from Springbank, distilled in 2003 and matured using Rundlets and Kilderkins - two small casks which hold 60 and 80 litres respectively.

Bottle in June 2014, a release of 12,000 bottles.

Described by the late whisky guru Michael Jackson as the greatest all rounder in the world of whisky.

Macallan 1824 Select Oak 1 Litre

Part of the 1824 range this is the select oak which was for the travel retail market.

The whisky is aged in a combination of first fill European sherry casks and American oak seasoned with sherry or bourbon.

Dutch Single malt distilled in October 2001 and matured in an Oloroso sherry cask until January 2015. Produced at Zuidam distillers who produce a number of fine spirits.

MacMillan Fine Old Scotch Whisky 1960

An old blend produced by Burn Brae Blenders, Perth.

No abv or bottle size given.

Hazelburn 8 Year Old Alchemist

Released for a matter of hours, before this was recalled from the shelves by the request of Springbank. 

Distilled in 1998, this was released by Alchemist (albeit briefly) in 2006.
