Excellent condition and a good fill level.

Whyte and Mackay 30 Year Old 

Now discontinued this 30 year old Whyte and Mackay won many awards and was very well regarded.

Bottled during the 1980s. 

Royal Lochnagar Selected Reserve

The more original release of the Royal Lochnagar Select Reserve, including the elegnat wooden box and shield.

This version of the Royal Lochnagar Selected Reserve was replaced by the purple box release around 2007/2008.

Royal Lochnagar 1973 Douglas Laing 29 Year Old

A single cask independantly bottled Royal Lochnagar distilled on July 1973 and bottled in July 2002 at 29 year of age.

Originally release for the travel retail market the Remy Martin Premier Cru XO is sourced from the Grande Champagne area of Cognac.

Red Hackle 12 Year Old Reserve 1970s

Named after the red feather that adorns the hats of the Scottish military unit The Black Watch. 

This blend was produced by Hepburn & Ross of Glasgow.  Established in 1920 by Charles Hepburn (who served with the Black Watch) and Herbert Ross both veterans of the First World War. The company had a policy of hiring ex-military and became popular with military bases during the Second World War.

Although the brand would vanish by the 1980s it occasionaly pops up here and there.

Woodford Reserve 1 Litre

The mashbill for Woodford Reserve features a high percentage of rye: 72% corn, 18% rye and 10% malt. Unusual also for being triple distilled and having the lowest proof upon entering the barrel where it matures for at least six years.

Rebel Yell

Kentucky straight Bourbon whiskey. The brand owned by Luxco but the bourbon itself is distilled by Heaven Hill at its Bernheim distillery in Louisville, Kentucky.

Wilsons Matured Blend Whisky / New Zealand

A very unusual blended whisky produced in New Zealand from Malt and New Zealand Barley.

The Willowbank Distillery was established by the Baker family, with production commencing in December 1969. In 1974 the first whisky went on sale and the company was renamed Wilson Distillers Ltd. Located in Dunedin on the South Island of New Zealand, Willowbank was the most southerly whisky distillery in the world. The distillery was acquired by Seagram Company Ltd in 1981. Under Seagram’s ownership the distillery released the 10 year old Lammerlaw Whisky, named after the nearby mountain range. Sadly, the distillery ceased production in 1997 as Seagram’s rationalised their business portfolio and sold the business to the Foster’s Group. The distillery was mothballed in 2000 and the stills were reportedly shipped to Fiji for the production of rum.

The New Zealand Malt Whisky Company (NZMWC) secured the remaining whisky stocks, still ageing in barrels. NZMWC has sold the single malt whisky obtained from the Willowbank Distillery under the Milford brand, along with blended whiskies under the Prestons brand. The owners of the Willowbank whisky stocks, The New Zealand Malt Whisky Company & Preston Associates Limited went into receivership in early 2010, and for a period the fate of NZMWC was unknown.

William Lawson's 8 Year Old Rare Blended 1970s
