Glenfiddich 1965 Cadenhead's 12 Year Old

There are very few independant bottlings of Glenfiddich, let alone one from the late 1970s.

This incredibly rare bottling was distilled in 1965 and bottled as a 12 year within William Cadenhead's classic dumpy black and white label design.

Please note there is some damage to the label of this bottle.

A great example of the wonderful gift sets produced by Signatory Vintage in their Secret Still series.

This Glenury was distilled on 21st June 1973 and bottled 28th October 1997.

Cask #6851 yielded 364 bottles, this is bottle number 206 of 294.

Includes a cask bung and a miniature of the same whisky.

Glenlivet distillery have recently started offering their own hand filled bottlings.  

This is from batch #1 which was released from a single cask that had been maturing for an impressive 23 years before being filled on the 29th October 2014, this is bottle number 39.

Please note the capsules were fairly badly designed for this bottle and do rotate.

An Octave is a cask made from staves of a previously used cask, most commonly sherry casks, it is approximately one-eight the size of a sherry butt and allows more interaction between the wood and the spirit due to the increase of surface area for the whisky.

The Manager’s Dram series of whiskies were bottled exclusively for employees of what is now known as Diageo.  These whiskies were selected by the respective distillery managers within Diageo malt distilling and bottled at natural cask strength.

A 16 year old Glen Elgin, sherry cask matured and chosen by distillery manager Harry Fox, bottled on 31.10.1993.

A fantastic presentation pack from Signatory Vintage of Glen Albyn distilled on 16 December 1965 and bottled on 15th May 1997.

This 31 year old bottling from this closed distillery was matured in single cask #3835, this is bottle number 304 of 530.

The Silent Stills packs contain a 70cl bottle, 5cl miniature and replica bung.

The bottles will be checked-in, authenticated, photographed, and then listed into the next available auction, or an auction of your choice, by our expert team. Whisky Auctioneer hosts monthly auctions, where registered users from across the globe can bid on bottles via our website.  

After the auction closing date, the highest bidder will be notified by email. Payment is required within 72hrs. The buyer can then choose to ship, store, or collect the bottle(s). Buyer fees are applied during the online checkout process.  

The seller will receive payment within 21 working days of the end of the auction, directly to their chosen bank account. Seller fees will be applied to the seller’s invoice after the auction.
