Laphroaig Cairdeas 30 Year Old

Exclusively only available at Laphroaig distillery or on their website this 30 year old Cairdeas release is a combination of approximately 60% sherry casks and 40% bourbon casks, which were then married together in bourbon casks before bottling.

This is bottle #740 of 1,536.

Presented in this wooden box, Laphroaig 30 year old was originally released in 2000.  

We rarely see well aged official bottlings from Islay, this well aged Laphroaig has only been out-matured by the 40 year old releases.

Johnnie Walker Blue Label Korea Sa Shin Do

A special edition bottle of Johnnie Blue label... the icon of whisky world wide. 

This Blue Label is bottled in a pocelain decanter that was bottled for the South Korean market. On each of the four sides of the decanter is a dipiction of a guardian god from Korean mythology. 

Hyunmu guards the north, The Blue Dragon gaurds the east, Jujak (a phoenix) guards the south and The White Tiger guards the East.  

Very unusually for Johnnie Walker, this has been bottled at cask strength. 

Longmorn 1966 Gordon and Macphail 45 Year Old / Viking Line

Distilled in May 1966 and bottled October 2011, this is from Speyside's Longmorn distillery. 

This is an exclusive Viking Line bottling. Viking Line is  a cruise ferry services between Finland and Stockholm and offers duty free whisky sales.

Bottled from a single refill sherry hogshead number #283. 

One of 228 bottles. 

Jura 1984 30 Year Old

George Orwell, the author of 1984, who in 1948 moved to the isolation of Jura to write has inspired the release of this 30 year Old Jura distilled in 1984.

This was matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks for 22 years before 6 years in Gonzalez Byass Matusalem sherry then a final two years in Amoroso and Apostoles Sherry barrels.

Lagavulin 1991 Feis Ile 2015 24 Year Old

A triple matured Lagavulin that's spent time in bourbon wood, PX casks and oak puncheons. 

Distilled in 1991 and personally selected by Iain McArthur, a warehouseman at Lagavulin with over 40 years experience. Then bottled exclusively for the Feis Ile in 2015.

Johnnie Walker Excelsior is an incredibly hard to find Johnnie walker distilled in 1947 and released at around 50 years old in 1997.

Distilled in December 1989 and bottled at 17 year old exclusively for the Friends of Laphroaig.

Only 4,000 bottles produced.

Johnnie Walker Odyssey

The very high end of blending is based on the notes of Alexander Walker. 

Composed of three carefully selected single malts that have been married in European oak casks. The cleaver design of the crystal decanter moves along with the motion of the ocean and its 'swing' style box will ensure it cant fall over.

A stunning presentation of Isle of Jura 30 year old distilled on 10th November 1973 and matured in a single Gonzales Byass Oloroso sherry butt.

Single cask #3155 yileded only 468 bottles , this is bottle number 13.

Leadodk's Secrial Solera 1835 Madeira 

A rare and antique bottle of Madeira from Leadodk's. John Leacock sailed to Madeira from the United Kingdom (after the death of his father) in 1741 and at the age of 15 became the youngest apprentice at the firm of Madeira merchants, Catanach and Murdoch staying until his contract expired on 11 March 1749. During his apprenticeship he had been in constant contact with an old school friend, John Patient, residing at that time in Charles Town, South Carolina who suggested that they themselves should commence trading. Leacock agreed and this marks the birth of the now world famous company.

In 1925, the wine industry was going through tough times and so both Leacock's and Blandy's amalgamated their interests and joined the Madeira Wine Association (now the Madeira Wine Company).
A extraordinary Solera  of the nineteenth century.
