Bowmore 27 Year Old The Vintner's Trilogy III / Port Cask

Bowmore 27 Year Old Port Cask has been aged for 13 years in ex-Bourbon barrels before spending the remainder in Port pipes. 

This is the third of the Vintner's Trilogy which also boasts a Manzanilla cask finished 18 year old, and a 26 year old French Oak barrique.

Caroni 1998 Wild Parrot 'Red' Cask #98635

Established in 1923 on the site of the sugar factory for which it was named, Caroni was a key ingredient of British Navy rations, where it's famous high ester 'Heavy' rums help to make up the signature flavour. Sadly, with the decline of the Trinidadian sugar industry, the Islands distillers became more and more dependent upon imported molasses, making distilling less and less economical. The writing then, was already on the wall when in 2001 the Trinidadian government sold a 49% share in the holding company to Angostura. Caroni was shuttered in 2002 and a Behemoth of flavour was lost to the world.

A single cask rum distilled at the long lost Caroni distillery in 1998.

Bottled from single cask #WP98635 and bottled by Hidden Spirits and Stefano Cremaschi for their Wild Parrot brand in 2018.

The Balvenie Triple Cask series of whiskies is exclusive to travel retail.

This 25 year old is the oldest in the range and is accompanied by 12 year old and 16 year old versions.

This is a well-aged single cask bottling of Clynelish. Distilled on the 22nd September 1993 and bottled 25 years later by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society.

One of 175 bottles drawn from a refill ex-bourbon barrel.

Bowmore 2000 Hand Filled 17 Year Old Cask #2495 / 1st Fill Sherry Puncheon​

Available to bottle yourself at Bowmore distillery, this 'hand filled' was distilled on 6th November 2000 and bottled on 31st January 2018 at just over 17 years old.

Clynelish 1993 Silver Seal 19 Year Old

Thise is a Clynelish which was distilled in 1993 and laid to rest in cask #7556. After 19 years of ageing, it was bottled in November 2012. 

Silver Seal was founded by Ernesto Mainardi in 2000. This was Mainardi's second bottling company after the esteemed Sestane in 1979. Both companies were sold to Massimo Righi, proprietor of Whisky Antique, in 2010.

Released exclusively for Selfridges, this blended whisky contains a higher proportion of malt whisky to grain whisky.

Only 1,000 bottles produced.

Caol Ila 1979 Douglas Laing 28 Year Old

Old Particular is Douglas Laing's flagship label, and was launched in 2013 after their Old Malt Cask series became part of the portfolio of the newly established Hunter Laing. Xtra Old Particular is the premium version of the brand, and is reserved for casks the company considers the Laing \"family jewels.\"

This well aged Caol Ila was distilled in 1979 and bottled from a single refill hogshead.

One of 204 bottles.

Balvenie 17 Year Old Islay Cask

Released in 2003, this was the very first of the Balvenie 17 Year Old expressions.

''In the making of The Balvenie Islay Cask, David Stewart selected Balvenie single malt which had matured in traditional oak casks for at least 17 years and transferred it into 94 casks which had previously held Islay single malt. After six months he felt the casks had imparted the desired delicate amount of peaty notes, typical of Islay, whilst retaining the distinctively honeyed character of The Balvenie.''

Only 94 casks were ever produced.

Blanton's Single Barrel Dumped 2018 / LMDW

First introduced by then Ancient Age distillery Master Distiller, Elmer T. Lee, Blanton's was the first single barrel bourbon popularised in the US. Ancient Age was renamed the Buffalo Trace distillery by the Sazerac company in 1999.

Normally a 6 to 8 year old bourbon, it is aged in Warehouse H at Buffalo Trace, which is the only metal-clad warehouse at the distillery, commissioned for construction by Albert B. Blanton, after whom the whiskey is named. The warehouse was built shortly after prohibition and being metal, transfers heat quicker than brick warehouses, allowing for more rapid ageing.

This is a 2018 bottling, dumped on the 23rd July and matured in barrel #884, which was specially selected for La Maison du Whisky in Paris.

Stored on rick number 45 and bottled at 55%. 

Each bottle of Blanton's has one of 8 different stoppers, each depicting a horse and jockey at a different stage of finishing a race. The designs are all lettered so that a complete set laid out side by side will spell \"BLANTONS.\"

Established in 1923 on the site of the sugar factory for which it was named, Caroni was a key ingredient of British Navy rations, where it's famous high ester 'Heavy' rums help to make up the signature flavour. Sadly, with the decline of the Trinidadian sugar industry, the Islands distillers became more and more dependent upon imported molasses, making distilling less and less economical. The writing then, was already on the wall when in 2001 the Trinidadian government sold a 49% share in the holding company to Angostura. Caroni was shuttered in 2002 and a Behemoth of flavour was lost to the world.

Thankfully, in 2004, Luca Gargano discovered the ossuary of Caroni's warehouses filled of barrels of the legendary heavy rum quietly ageing. Since then we have seen a number of outstanding releases with collectors and drinkers alike seeking to acquire one of these coveted relics.

Distilled in 1996 at the long lost Caroni distillery.

Aged in Trinidad for 20 years, this is the 35th (or '35rd' as the bottle states) release.

One of 3038 bottles produced from a stock of 11 casks, of which over 85% was already lost to the Angels' share.

Bowmore 1995 Hand Filled Cask 18 Year Old #1572 / Sherry

Available to bottle yourself at Bowmore distillery, this 'hand filled' was distilled on 13th July 1995 and bottled on 26th June 2014.

Benriach 1975 Signatory Vintage 28 Year Old Cask Strength

A Signatory Vintage bottling from Benriach distillery. Distilled in December 1975 and bottled in December 2004 after being matured in sherry hogshead number #7221. 

Signatory Vintage were established in 1988 by Andrew Symington and are one of Scotland's most prolific independent bottlers. Their offices and bottling facility are located next to Edradour distillery, which they have also owned since 2002.

An independent bottling of Clynelish for The Whisky Agency in Germany.

Distilled in the Highlands in 1989 and bottled in 2010. This is one of 166 bottles drawn from an ex-bourbon barrel.

The Whisky Agency was founded in Germany by Carsten Ehrlich, who is also the driving force behind The Whisky Fair in Limburg, one of the world's most renowned annual whisky gatherings. Their passion is unquestionable, and they have a regular release schedule of high quality single casks, often in collaboration with some of the most respected whisky bars and retailers. The Whisky Agency's labels include The Perfect Dram, Liquid Library, Private Stock, and Liquid Sun.

Ben Nevis 1970 Liquid Sun 44 Year Old

A 1970 vintage single malt from Highland distillery, Ben Nevis. Bottled for Liquid Sun from a refill hogshead in 2014.

Liquid Sun is a subsidiary brand of The Whisky Agency, introduced to allow them to bottle a wider range of casks without overloading their catalogue. Initially bottled for the Scandinavian and Asian markets, but were later introduced to a wider audience.

A single cask Signatory Vintage bottling.

Distilled on 26th September 1995 and bottled on 23rd August 2017, matured in a single refill sherry butt.

Cask #8672 yielded 566 bottles.

Bowmore 1998 Hand Filled 21 Year Old Cask #58 / Sherry

This Bowmore was distilled on 13th January 1998 and matured in sherry cask #58. 

Bottled by hand at the distillery on 5th January 2018.

Balvenie 1992 Single Barrel 25 Year Old Traditional Oak

An unusual 2018 edition of Balvenie's classic single barrel series, a 25 year old single malt which is drawn from a single traditional oak whisky cask of a single distillation. While every cask is subtly different, The Balvenie Malt Master has selected only casks which have the essential characteristics of The Balvenie Single Barrel.

Distilled on 8th of April 1992 and bottled on 13th February 2018 from single cask #3161. 

One of 300 bottles.

Caperdonich 1992 SMWS 25 Year Old 38.22

This Caperdonich was distilled in June 1992 and bottled at 25 years old by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society.

Craigellachie 1982 Single Cask 21 Year Old / Craigellachie Hotel​

A very unusual and rare official bottling of Craigellachie produced exclusively for the Craigellachie Hotel.  

Distilled on 3rd March 1982 and bottled on 28th October 2003.

This is bottle number 344 of 472 drawn from single cask #1416.

A framed Certificate of Authenticity is included with the bottle, along with a stainless steel cup and bowl from The Quaich Co.

This Bowmore was distilled on 13th January 1998 and matured in sherry cask #58.
