Ardbeg Kildalton 2014

This Ardbeg was released in connection with the North Highland Initiative (NHI) a charity which helps rural communities across the Northern Highlands.

Elegantly packaged, it is a combination of first fill and refill ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. Please do not mistake this Kildalton for that which was released in 2004, 10 years previously.

Ardbeg Dark Cove

The Feis Ile release for 2016, this was matured in ex-Bourbon casks with a heart matured in dark sherry casks. 

The style has been inspired by the history of illicit distilling on the Island of Islay. Many islanders were involved in this activity, including Allan and Alexander the uncles of John McDougall founder of Ardbeg distillery. 

This is the general release, a more available lower ABV edition launched for Ardbeg Day/Night. 

Allt-A-Bhainne 1977 First Cask 25 Year Old

A rare offering from Direct Wines' First Cask series.

Distilled at Allt-A-Bhainne in Speyside in 1977, this was bottled at 25 years old from cask #31521.

Ardbeg Kelpie Committee Release

The Ardbeg committee release for 2017, this has been matured in virgin casks crafted from oak grown on land in the Adyghe Republic - a Russian federal subject just north of Georgia, on the northeast coast of the Black Sea.

Arran 20 Year Old The Explorers Series Volume 1 / Brodick Bay

This is the first release in Arran Distillery's The Explorers Series, which replaces the now-discontinued Smugglers' Series which celebrated the island's illicit whisky history. This new range instead celebrates the island's natural charms. 

Their first expression is titled 'Brodick Bay', with the label depicting the picturesque bay on Arran's east coast. 

Matured initially in ex-bourbon barrels and ex-sherry hogsheads, Brodick Bay is then finished in ex-Oloroso sherry butts. 

Arran 21 Year Old The Explorers Series Volume 2 / Lochranza Castle

This is the second release in Arran distillery's The Explorers Series. It replaced the now-discontinued Smugglers' Series which celebrated the island's illicit whisky history. This range instead celebrates the island's natural charms. 

The second expression is titled Lochranza Castle, with the label depicting the distillery's neighbouring castle on the northern tip of the island. 

This 21 year old was matured in sherry hogsheads before being finished in Amontillado sherry casks sourced from the Bodegas Tradicion in Jerez.

Ardbeg Perpetuum Distillery Release

Released in 2015 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the legendary Islay distillery.

This is the high strength version which was only available at the distillery to Ardbeg Committee Members.

Perpetuum is a blend of old and young whisky which has been matured in both Bourbon and Sherry casks.

Arran Smugglers' Series Volume 3 / The Exciseman

A very cool nod to the shady history of Arran's distilling. Back during the 18th and 19th century the island was a producer of illicit whisky. Presented in a book style package to hide the goods. 

This is the 2017 third release in the highly acclaimed Arran Smugglers' Series, following on from the Illicit Stills and High Seas.

Matured in Madeira and smaller bourbon quarter casks.

Ardmore 1992 Whisky Agency 18 Year Old / The Perfect Dram - LMDW

An independent bottling of Ardmore 1992 from The Whisky Agency at 18 years old, bottled under their Perfect Dram Label.

The 2018 limited edition release this has been matured in heavily charred casks (presenting a grooved surface hence the name).

Totally groovy and totally not the same thing as the Alligator...

An Aultmore distilled in September 2001 and bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society. 

Matured initially in an ex-bourbon hogshead and then Oloroso sherry.

Aberlour 1992 Whisky Broker 26 Year Old / Galloway Series

This Aberlour has been aged originally in a butt, then some octaves, then another butt, and finally a hogshead!
