Blanton's Single Barrel Special Reserve Dumped 2018

First introduced by then Ancient Age distillery Master Distiller, Elmer T. Lee, Blanton's was the first single barrel bourbon popularised in the US. Ancient Age was renamed the Buffalo Trace distillery by the Sazerac company in 1999.

Normally a 6 to 8 year old bourbon, it is aged in Warehouse H at Buffalo Trace, which is the only metal-clad warehouse at the distillery, commissioned for construction by Albert B. Blanton, after whom the whiskey is named. The warehouse was built shortly after prohibition and being metal, transfers heat quicker than brick warehouses, allowing for more rapid ageing.

This is a 2018 bottling of the green labelled Special Reserve, dumped on the 14th August and matured in barrel #1200.

Stored on rick number 10 and bottled at 80 US proof.

Each bottle of Blanton's has one of 8 different stoppers, each depicting a horse and jockey at a different stage of finishing a race. The designs are all lettered so that a complete set laid out side by side will spell \"BLANTONS.\"

Ben Nevis 1995 Whisky Agency 18 Year Old

An independent bottling of Ben Nevis, selected by and bottled for The Whisky Agency in Germany.

Distilled in 1995 and then matured for 18 years in a single refill hogshead prior to being bottled in 2013.

One of 242 bottles.

Matured for over 19 years in French Oak barriques from Château Lagrange, this Bowmore was exclusively available through online retailer Amazon.

Benriach 22 Year Old Moscatel Wood Finish

A 22 year old unpeated Benriach, finished in Moscatel casks. 

Part of the Benriach Wood Finish series. The whisky was initially matured in bourbon barrels.

Bunnahabhain 2001 Single Malts of Scotland 16 Year Old

This small batch release was matured exclusively in first fill sherry casks, a marriage of Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez. Unlike Batches 1 and 2 which were declared as being matured for a minimum of 10 years, Batch 3 does not carry an age-statement.

Benrinnes 1988 Murray McDavid 28 Year Old​

Distilled in 1988 and bottled by Murray McDavid in Summer 2017. This was finished for over a year and a half in a fresh Oloroso sherry cask.

One of only 241 bottles drawn from cask #140001.

Balblair 1991 3rd Release

The Balblair 1991 vintage was a brief addition to the range to replace the 1989. This is the 3rd release and was bottled in 2018.

It has been matured in ex-bourbon American oak and Spanish ex-sherry butts.

Balvenie 10 Year Old Founder's Reserve

Bottled at 40%, this is a classic 10 year old created by The Balvenie Malt Master, David Stewart, from a marriage malt matured in bourbon cask and sherry butts.

A cornerstone of The Balvenie range since the early 1980s, the Founder’s Reserve has now been discontinued.

Burnside 1993 Whisky Agency 22 Year Old / ART Taiwan & The Mash Tun, Tokyo

An independent bottling of Burnside, distilled in 1993 and bottled for The Whisky Agency in collaboration with ART Taiwan's World Bar Tour. This bottle spotlights The Mash Tun bar in Tokyo, Japan.

Burnside is a blend of single malts malt produced in Speyside by William Grant & Sons. The Burnside name has also in the past been used by J&A Mitchell subsidiary, Eaglesome, to bottle its Springbank single malt, but became solely a registered trademark of the Dufftown-based distilling company in the mid-1990s.
