Whisky Agency Blended Malt XO / Maltstock 2016

With an age statement borrowed from the world of brandy, this is an XO blended malt. In cognac terms this denotes expressions aged 10 years or older, but it could mean anything here.

Matured in sherry wood and bottled for the 2016 Maltstock festival in The Netherlands.

The Whisky Agency was founded in Germany by Carsten Ehrlich, who is also the driving force behind The Whisky Fair in Limburg, one of the world's most renowned annual whisky gatherings. Their passion is unquestionable, and they have a regular release schedule of high quality single casks, often in collaboration with some of the most respected whisky bars and retailers. The Whisky Agency's labels include The Perfect Dram, Liquid Library, Private Stock, and Liquid Sun.

A sherry finished blend from Whyte and Mackay. 

Wolfburn Poppyscotland 2018

Located in Thurso, this is the Northern most distillery on the UK mainland. Named for a long lost distillery that ended around 1850, this new Wolfburn opened in 2013. 

This bottle was produced  in collaboration with Carnegie Whisky Cellars to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of World War 1.

Originally only available at the distillery and at Carnegi Whisky Cellars in Dornoch.

Writer's Tears Single Cask / Florio Marsala Cask Finish

A recent expression of Writer's Tears, matured in cask #3148 and finished a Florio Marsala cask

Wild Turkey 8 Year Old 101 Proof 

The Wild Turkey distillery, then known as Boulevard, was built in 1869 in Tyrone, Kentucky. The name Wild Turkey was not used until 1941 when some, shared on a hunting trip, was referred to as \"some of that wild turkey whiskey\". 

This is the classic 8 year old expression, bottled at 101 US proof.

A recent expression of Writer's Tears, matured in cask #6427 and finished in a Deau XO Cognac Cask.

This example of White Heather is the unusual 15 year old, presented in an attractive decanter.

Named after the iconic ice hockey player, Wayne Gretzky estates produces both wine and Canadian whisky.

This No.99 release was matured in American oak and finished in icewine casks.

A well-aged blend produced to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee (a 50 year reign) in 2012.

Presented in a Wedgwood decanter. 

West Indies 2002 Plantation 15 Year Old

A 2002 vintage rum from Barbados, distilled in both pot and column stills at the West Indies Rum Distillery (WIRD) . Tropically matured for 12 years in bourbon casks in Barbados before a further period of continental ageing in Pierre Ferrand casks. 

Bottled in 2017.

Although labelled as a 6 year old rum, the vatting was matured for a further 3 years and finished for 9 months, giving this initial blend of 6-25 year old rums a minimum age of 9 years.
