Port Ellen 1982 Dormant Distillery Co / 10th Anniversary

A 1982 vintage from the sought after closed Port Ellen distillery on Islay. This was bottled by The Dormant Distillery Co, a subsidiary of Royal Mile Whiskies who specialise in bottlings from the no-longer producing. This was bottled in 2007, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the brand.

The distillery closed in 1983, although its maltings are still operational, and supply barley to many of their Islay neighbours.

Single cask #1144 produced 294 bottles, this is number 246.

This bottle won a gold medal at the 2018 International Wine and Spirit Competition, with judges awarding it a score of 90-92.9.

Port Ellen 1978 Signatory Vintage 23 Year Old / Cask #5268

Since its closure in 1983, Port Ellen single malts have become real collectors items, especially these independent single cask releases.

This is a Signatory Vintage cask strength bottling of Port Ellen, distilled on 5th September 1978 and matured in refill sherry butt #5268.

Signatory Vintage were established in 1988 by Andrew Symington and are one of Scotland's most prolific independent bottlers. Their offices and bottling facility are located next to Edradour distillery, which they have also owned since 2002.

Bottled on 18th April 2002, this is bottle number 460 of 564.

Booker's 30th Anniversary Small Batch Bourbon

The Booker's brand is a subsidiary of Jim Beam and was named after former master distiller, Booker Noe. His son Fred is now the current master distiller and is on record as having said, \"if you’re drinking Booker’s, you better have your pajamas on!” Jim Beam have two distilleries in Kentucky where they produce their bourbon, but Booker's is the only brand produced exclusively at one of them; the Boston Road plant, now also known as the Booker Noe distillery.

This special release commemorates the brand's 30th anniversary and is a vatting of 70% 2009 vintage 9 year old bourbon, and 30% 16 year old bourbon distilled in 2002.

Brora 1974 Wilson and Morgan 27 Year Old / Anniversary Selection

An older independently bottled Brora, distilled in 1974 and bottled in Edinburgh in 2002 for Wilson & Morgan. Closed since 1983, these old vintage bottlings of Brora are very sought after, especially single casks.

Wilson & Morgan was founded in Italy in 1992 by Fabio Rossi, the son of prolific importer Mario Rossi Jr, who began distributing Scotch whisky back in the 1960s. His son’s company was one of  a new generation of Italian bottlers established in the 1990s, which aimed to replicate the successes of predecessors like Samaroli and Moon Import.

This 2002 bottling is an Anniversary Selection release to commemorate their 20th year.

Bunnahabhain 1967 Duncan Taylor 38 Year Old

Duncan Taylor was founded in Glasgow in 1938 as a cask broker and trading company. Its modern history began in 2001 when a former Glendronach employee, Euan Shand, purchased the firm and moved it to Huntly in Aberdeenshire, using the impressive cask portfolio it has amassed over the 20th century to become one of the premier independent bottlers in Scotland.

This Bunnahabhain was distilled in March 1967 and matured in cask #3335 until November 2005.

Bowmore 1992 Kingsbury 25 Year Old / Sar Obair

A very limited Bowmore, distilled in 1992 and presented in an attractive decanter at 25 years of age by Kingsbury. 

Kingsbury are Japan's most sought after independent bottler. They were founded in 1989 by Eaglesome, the high-end deli in Campbeltown that was purchased by J & A Mitchell & Co of Springbank distillery, and turned into one of the region's finest whisky merchants. They initially bottled Kingsbury's exclusively for the Japanese market using their Cadenhead's stock, before the label was acquired by native firm, the Japanese Import System. They have released a number of some of the most collectible whiskies, including a Bowmore 1966, and two dark sherry casked Ardbeg.

1982 was the penultimate production year for Brora, and its single malt has become highly collectible since its closure.

Bruichladdich 1990 Rare Cask Series 25 Year Old / Sherry Cask Edition

This 1990 vintage Bruichladdich was conceived from two distinct batches of Islay whisky. One matured in first fill bourbon for 17 years, a French wine cask for 5 years and PX sherry casks for 4 years. The second batch was matured in a refill sherry butt for 18 years before being finished in Oloroso Sherry casks for a remaining 7 years.

Only 6000 were produced.

The bottles will be checked-in, authenticated, photographed, and then listed into the next available auction, or an auction of your choice, by our expert team. Whisky Auctioneer hosts monthly auctions, where registered users from across the globe can bid on bottles via our website.  

After the auction closing date, the highest bidder will be notified by email. Payment is required within 72hrs. The buyer can then choose to ship, store, or collect the bottle(s). Buyer fees are applied during the online checkout process.  

The seller will receive payment within 21 working days of the end of the auction, directly to their chosen bank account. Seller fees will be applied to the seller’s invoice after the auction.
