Flora and Fauna Complete Collection 26 x 70cl 

The Flora and Fauna series of whiskies was originally created in the early 1990s by United Distillers Vintners (what would later become Diageo).  Originally this range had no name and it was not until the famous whisky writer Michael Jackson nicknamed it the 'Flora and Fauna' series due to the labels, did it stick.  The Flora and Fauna series, as offered in this lot, contains a total of 26 distillery expressions. Not all of these were released at the same time and many have now been discontinued, the last of which was to be the Mortlach 16 year old, perhaps the most loved of all of these whiskies.

Most of the bottles that were available with wooden boxes are presented so here; Strathmill, Auchriosk, Glen Spey and Glen Elgin were never available with these boxes.

Dalmore 1973 Cabernet Sauvignon / Haut Marbuzet Finish​

A rare 33 year old Dalmore initially matured in American white oak prior to a secondary maturation of a several years in Chateau Haut-Marbuzet casks.

One of only 1,000 bottles.

Includes certificate of authenticity. 

Dalwhinnie 1966 36 Year Old

Released within the original super premium release from Diageo, back in 2002, this Dalwhinnie was distilled in 1966 and bottled at an astonishing 36 years old - substantially older than any previous official Dalwhinnie releases.

Limited to only 1,500 bottles this 36 year old is rumored to be an exceptional bottling.

Domaine De Courcelles 1972 Vieux Rhum Guadeloupe Rum

A bottle of Domain De Courcelles rum distilled January 1972 and bottled April 2005

Imported by Velier for the Italian market.

Dalmore 30 Year Old Stillman's Dram 75cl / US Import

An early 1990s bottling of Dalmore, aged for an impressive 30 years.

Bottled within Whyte and Mackay's long gone Stillman's series of whiskies.

Imported to the US market by Munson Shaw, Il.

Dalmore 25 Year Old

Released in very limited quantities in 2013 the Dalmore 25 year old is matured initially in American white oak before a second maturation in a combination of Palomino Fino sherry butts and first fill bourbon cask.

That's not all, these are then married together in bourbon barrels before a final finishing period in Tawny port pipes.

Dallas Dhu 1982 Historic Scotland 24 Year Old Cask Strength​

Distilled in 1982, not long before the distilleries closure then bottled in 2007 for Historic Scotland (now Historic Environment Scotland), the Government body that runs the former distillery as a museum.

Cask number #3739 and bottle number 503. 

Dewar's Victoria Vat 1930s

A very old bottle of Victoria VAT, produced by Dewar's \"by appointment to the Late King George V,\" dating this bottle to somewhere in the vicinity of 1936.

There are no volume or ABV measurements on this bottle. It is full size.

Diamond 1999 Demerara Distillers 15 Year Old Rum

An official bottle of 15 year old Diamond distillery rum.

Distilled in a Metal Coffey Still in 1999, matured in new charred barrels, and bottled in July 2014 from only 5 barrels yielding an outturn of only 1,411 bottles.

Dallas Dhu 1968 Douglas Laing 31 Year Old

A rare late 60's Dallas Dhu from Douglas Laing, distilled December 1968 and bottled May 2000.

Part of the Old Malt Cask series.

One of 253 Bottles.

Dingle Irish Single Malt Small Batch No. 1 / Bourbon Casks

Matured exclusively in Bourbon casks, this was the first small batch release from the Dingle Whiskey Distillery which opened in 2012.

Bottle number 6144.

Uitvlugt 1996 Modified GS 18 Year Old Guyanan Rum 

Bonded in 1996 and bottled July 2014 from four barrels.

Dalmore 1992 Mackenzie / includes Death of the Stag Print​

The Dalmore Mackenzie was released to commemorate the long lasting relationship between Dalmore and Clan Mackenzie.

The whisky was matured in a bourbon hogsheads for 11 years before a finishing period of 6 years in port pipes.

A limited and highly sought after bottling of which only 3,000 were made.

Lot includes a limited edition print of The Death of the Stag by Benjamin West, which initial purchasers of the bottle were given the chance to send away for.

If you don't like Mortlach, you will probably love Dailuaine - they are renowned for splitting opinions.

This is a great example of a strongly sherried whisky and part of the Flora and Fauna series none of which were ever made widley availabel outside of the UK

A very rare official bottling of Dailuaine.

Distilled in 1980 and bottled in 2015 as part of Diageo's annual Special releases.

Matured in refill American oak casks.

The Dingle Whisky distillery started production in 2012.

This is the first single pot still release from the distillery: triple distilled and matured elusively in Pedro Ximenex Sherry casks.

Dalmore 2000 Distillery Exclusive 2017​ / Merlot Barrique Finish

This Dalmore was distilled on the 9th February 2000 and aged in bourbon wood till 27th July when it was transfered to a Californian Merlot Barrique and aged till April 2017.

Dailuaine 1973 Rare Malt 22 Year Old 75cl / US Import 60.92%​

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

Distilled at Dailuaine in 1973 and bottled as a 22 year old, this is bottle number 0399.

Damoiseau Millesime 1980 Rhum Vieux 18 Year Old

Rhums Damoiseau are distilled in the French Caribbean island of Guadeloupe from 100% fresh-pressed sugarcane and no molasses - this results in a fresh character rum without any rubberiness.

After distillation, the rum is stocked in oak barrels that have previously been used for bourbon.  Given the hot climate in Guadeloupe, the casks experience an evaporation rate of almost 50% after 10 years, while also imparting into the spirit a light brown colour.

Distilled in 1972 and bottled in the 1980's by Gordon and MacPhail.

This Speyside distillery has been closed since, but lives on as a Historic Environment Scotland Museum. 

Dalmore Dee Dram / 2012 Season

The River Dee is revered the world over for its picturesque beauty, clean crisp waters and of course its exceptional salmon fishing.

The Rivers Collection was originally released in 2012 and included four bottlings named after four famous Scottish Salmon rivers, The Dee, The Spey, The Tweed and The Tay.In recognition of the various trusts a donation was made to the Tay Foundation, Tweed Foundation, Spey Foundation and Dee Trust when these bottles we're originally on the market.

Dallas Dhu 1972 Gordon and MacPhail 75cl​

Distilled in 1972 and bottled likely bottled in the late 1980's / early 1990's by Gordon and MacPhail.

This Speyside distillery has been closed since, but lives on as a Historic Environment Scotland Museum. 

Dallas Dhu 1977 Signatory Vintage 21 Year Old

A single cask Dallas Dhu bottled by the renowned independent bottlers, Signatory Vintage.

Distilled on 20th May 1977 and bottled on 1st February 1999.

Single cask #1120 yielded 372 bottles, this is bottle number 101.
