The Gold was introduced as an alternative to Macallan 10 Year Old Fine Oak and is at the lighter end of the colour/flavour spectrum.

Now discontinued, the 10 year old Fine Oak was matured in a mixture of American Oak bourbon casks before being finished in European Oak sherry casks.
