Laphroaig 1974 Sherry Cask 31 Year Old

A legendary official release of Laphroaig, distilled in 1974 and bottled 31 years later for La Maison Du Whisky.

This stunning whisky was limited to only 910 bottles and is reknowned for its incredible sherry influence.

Another highly acclaimed and award-winning whisky, this was given an impressive 95 points from Serge Valentin on Whisky Fun, not to mention its Gold Medal and Non Plus Ultra award from the Malt Maniacs!

Flora and Fauna Complete Collection 26 x 70cl 

The Flora and Fauna series of whiskies was originally created in the early 1990s by United Distillers Vintners (what would later become Diageo).  Originally this range had no name and it was not until the famous whisky writer Michael Jackson nicknamed it the 'Flora and Fauna' series due to the labels, did it stick.  The Flora and Fauna series, as offered in this lot, contains a total of 26 distillery expressions. Not all of these were released at the same time and many have now been discontinued, the last of which was to be the Mortlach 16 year old, perhaps the most loved of all of these whiskies.

Most of the bottles that were available with wooden boxes are presented so here; Strathmill, Auchriosk, Glen Spey and Glen Elgin were never available with these boxes.

Laphroaig 10 Year Old Circa 1970s / US Carlton Import

A rare bottling produced for the American market.

This particular bottle of Laphroaig was produced in the very early 1970s and was imported into the US by the Carlton Company.  A truly fantastic example of Laphroaig, containing distillate from the very early 1960s, maybe even 1950s.  We've never had a bottle of Laphroaig from this period before and are very excited to bring this to auction.

Very Xtra Old Fitzgerald 1956 Bonded 10 Year Old 100 Proof / Stitzel-Weller

We don't see vintage Old Fitzgerald very often, so we are particularly excited about this bottle which was distilled in the Fall of 1956 and bottled in 1966.

Distilled by Julian Van Winkle I at the legendary Stitzel-Weller distillery, and bottled a year after his death by his son, Van Winkle II.

Presented in a felt lined, lock-and-key leather box with two 1 oz. glasses.

Very Very Old Fitzgerald 1966 Bonded 12 Year Old 100 Proof / Stitzel-Weller

We don't see vintage Old Fitzgerald very often, so we are particularly excited about this bottle which was distilled in the Spring of 1966 and bottled in 1978.

Distilled by Julian Van Winkle II at the legendary Stitzel-Weller distillery.

A highly sought after bottle of Lagavulin, the oldest official release until the 37 year old from the same vintage came along.

Distilled in 1976 and released within Diageo's Super Premium selection back in 2006.

Limited to 2,340 bottles.

Longrow 1974 21 Year Old

Longrow, peated spirit was first produced at Springbank during the early 1970s. 

This was distilled in September 1974 and bottled in February 1996.

One of only 350 bottles.

Vintage Rye 23 Year Old

A well-aged Kentucky rye at 23 years old. This was produced at Willett by Kentucky Bourbon Distillers using very similar bottles and labels to that on the Very Olde St. Nick, and may have been similarly distilled at Heaven Hill.

Very Olde St. Nick 20 Year Old Barrel Proof

Very Olde St Nick was a bourbon brand designed for the Japanese export market.

The original bottlings of Very Olde St Nick were produced by Julien Van Winkle III in Lawrenceburg, using whiskey procured from Heaven Hill distillery. When his stock ran out, the brand was purchased by Kentucky Bourbon Distillers who began to bottle it at Willett distillery. Although the supply for for these newer releases has never been confirmed as continuing to be Heaven Hill stock, it is where most of KBD barrels were procured from, and Van Winkle himself has strongly hinted at the continued connection.

This Very, Very Rare, Ancient Reserve is 20 winters, or 240 moons old and was bottled at a barrel proof of 116.4.

Very Olde St. Nick 17 Year Old Cask Strength

Very Olde St Nick was a bourbon brand designed for the Japanese export market.

The original bottlings of Very Olde St Nick were produced by Julien Van Winkle III in Lawrenceburg, using whiskey procured from Heaven Hill distillery. When his stock ran out, the brand was purchased by Kentucky Bourbon Distillers who began to bottle it at Willett distillery. Although the supply for for these newer releases has never been confirmed as continuing to be Heaven Hill stock, it is where most of KBD barrels were procured from, and Van Winkle himself has strongly hinted at the continued connection.

This Very Very Olde and Rare 17 year old was bottled at a cask strength of 116.2 US proof.

Laphroaig 30 Year Old 

Presented in this wooden box, Laphroaig 30 year old was originally released in 2000.  

This well aged Laphroaig has only been out-matured by the 40/32 year old releases.

Distilled on the 23rd of November 1967 this liquid was matured in single refill sherry hogshead #5132 and bottled by Gordon and MacPhail in on the 19th of July 2010..

Very Olde St. Nick 1973 Ancient Estate Reserve 25 Year Old

Very Olde St Nick was a bourbon brand designed for the Japanese export market.

The original bottlings of Very Olde St Nick were produced by Julien Van Winkle III in Lawrenceburg, using whiskey procured from Heaven Hill distillery. When his stock ran out, the brand was purchased by Kentucky Bourbon Distillers who began to bottle it at Willett distillery. This Ancient Estate Reserve was distilled on 19th December 1973 and bottled on the 29th of April 1999.

Very Old Fitzgerald 1960 Bonded 8 Year Old Half Pint / Stitzel-Weller

We don't see vintage Old Fitzgerald very often, so we are particularly excited about this bottle which was distilled in the Fall of 1960 and bottled in 1968.

Distilled at the legendary Stitzel-Weller distillery by Julien Van Winkle I, and bottled a few years after his death by his son, Van Winkle II.

Littlemill 30 Year Old

We believe this to be the oldest bottling of Littlemill to have been bottled, at 30 years of age.  This F&G Italian import bottling is incredibly rare and we are fortunate to offer this bottle.

Lagavulin 25 Year Old Bicentenary Edition

Released in 2016 as part of Diageo's Super Premium malts.  This sherry cask matured, 25 year old Lagavulin is a celebration of the distillery's bicentenary anniversary.

An independent Longmorn, distilled in November 1968 and bottled in August 2001 by Malcolm Pride Limited as part of their Premier Malts range.

Matured for 32 years in cask #5261.

Longmorn 1973 Blackadder 30 Year Old 75cl / US Import​

A wonderfully deep coloured Longmorn that has savoured everyone of its sherry casked 30 years.

Bottled by Blackadder International in September 2003.

Distilled in May 1973 and filled into sherry hogshead #3979.

Presented in a wooden box, this is the 2016 edition of the Laphroaig 30 year old which was originally released in 2000.  

Distilled in October 1985, we rarely see well-aged official bottlings from Islay, this well aged Laphroaig is up there with the oldest.

Vintage Bourbon 17 Year Old

A well-aged Kentucky bourbon at 17 years old. This was produced at Willett by Kentucky Bourbon Distillers using very similar bottles and labels to that on the Very Olde St. Nick, and may have been similarly distilled at Heaven Hill.
