Clynelish 1973 Single Cask 41 Year Old / Wealth Solutions​

It is extremely uncommon to see private bottlings produced 'officially' by Diageo.

Their 'Hogmanay Cask' was filled 31st December 1973. The advent of a new year in Scotland is an important tradition for entire communities, with the Clynelish Hogmannay Casks reflecting this. They were a collaborative effort from the inhabitants of the areas, rarely poured into barrels within the confines of the distillery walls for this reason, and very few casks bear the honour of being named as such.

This single cask bottling for Wealth Solutions is twice as exceptional, having been aged for a whopping 41 years, making it the oldest official Clynelish going!

A single cask #371 Hanyu, bottled within the Ichiro's Malt 'Card' series of whiskies.

Distilled in 1991 and matured in a hogshead before being moved into a Mizunara hogshead for a second maturation period.

Initially matured in hogshead prior to being finished in a Bourbon barrel.

A single cask #378 Hanyu bottled within the Ichiro's Malt's legendary Playing Card series of whiskies.

Distilled in 1991 and matured in a hogshead before being moved into a Red Oak Head hogshead for a second maturation period prior to being bottled in 2010.

A single cask Hanyu, distilled in 1988 and matured in a hogshead prior to being finished in an ex-Cognac cask and bottled in 2010. 

This is the King of Clubs face card in the legendary series of Playing Card bottlings by Ichiro's Malt.

A legendary 40 year old Highland Park released alongside branded decanter and a book which celebrates Highland Park and Orkney.

This magnificent whisky is presented in a lockable hardwood case.

A single cask Hanyu distilled in 1988 and matured in a hogshead prior to being finished in an American Oak Sherry Butt and bottled in 2006.

Hibiki 17 Year Old Mount Fuji Limited Edition

Suntory released this special edition to Commemorate Mount Fuji, the highest peak in Japan, getting added to the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List in 2013. 

The Hibiki, whose bottle always has 24 facets representing the 24 seasons of the Japanese lunar calendar has been redecorated with a painting of a scenic view of Mount Fuji.

Distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2011. 

First matured in a hogshead and then re-racked into an American oak puncheon.

The very rare Hakushu 25 Year old... Jim Murray gave it 93 out of 100 and said \"a malt which is impossible not to be blown away by\".

Clynelish 12 Year Old Ainslie and Heilbron Full Proof  / Edward & Edward Import​

Distilled in the early 1970s at Brora, this legendary Clynelish was imported by Whiskyteca Edward & Edward in Italy in the 1980's. Bottled at 56.9%.

This particular bottling was rated a very good 93 points from Serge Valentin on Whiskyfun.com

Clynelish 5 Year Old Ainslie and Heilbron circa 1960s / Di Chiano Import​

A rare 1960's bottling of Clynelish by Ainslie & Heilbron Distillers. This 5 year old bottling was distributed in Italy, by Di Chiano.

These Clynelish bottlings are incredibly popular at auction, the whisky was distilled at old Clynelish distillery before it was closed in 1965. The original Clynelish distillery was re-opened in 1967, when it became known as Brora.

Very highly awarded on Whisky Fun, achieving 93 points.

Hanyu Ichiro's Malt The Joker 'Colour'

The 54th and final bottling in Ichiro's Card Series.

There are two Joker's released to complete the 54 bottle series, one in colour and one in Black and White.  This particular bottling is the Colour Joker, a vatting of 14 casks covering vintages from 1985, 1986, 1988, 1990, 1991 and 2000.  The casks used for this final bottling include a sherry butt, puncheon, hogshead, Cognac, chibidaru, Madeira hogshead and bourbon.

Only 3,690 bottles of this highly sought after whisky have been made available.

A 1970's bottling of Clynelish by Ainslie & Heilbron distillers.Aged 12 years, this was likely distilled at the original Clynelish distillery, now known as Brora, before it was closed in 1968.

First released in April 2008, this is a delicious older offering from Scotland's Northern most distillery.

The packaging is exquisite with glassware produced by Stölzle Flaconnage and a beautifully crafted wooden box produced by Mount Gabriel.

Compass Box Optimism

This limited edition Compass Box was released at Whisky Live London in 2009, and according to whisky maker John Glaser, was meant to provide people with some hope during economic crises unfolding at the time. This was aged in a combination of American and new French oak casks.

The quirky label design inform the drinker when the bottle is full, and half full.

Highland Fusilier 21 Year Old 'Remember Series' 1978 x 4 / Co. Pinerolo Import

Highland Fusilier is a blended malt produced by Gordon & macPhail. This four bottle set is the 'Remember Series' and comprises four 21 year olds, all bottled in 1978 to mark the tercenttenary of the regiment, known as \"Princess Margaret's own Glasgow and Ayrshire,\" the Highland Fusiliers.

Each bottle is individually labelled.

The bottles were inported by Pinerolo for the Italian market.

Harry E Wilken 1917 AMS Co Special Old Reserve Bourbon / Prohibition Era Bottling 

Distilled in 1917, this bourbon was protected in bond by the American Medicinal Spirits Company from the Prohibition Act of 1920, which made alcohol production and consumption illegal.

This was bottled in 1932, a year before the Prohibition was repealed. The whiskey was produced by Harry E. Wilken, distillery no. 368 in the 5th district of Kentucky.

The American Medicinal Spirits Company was one of only around 30 distilling companies to survive Prohibition of the 434 that existed prior. Exploiting the medicinal loophole was the brainchild of Otto Wathen, an idea which continues to prove its value today in the persisting image of his still ever-popular portfolio, which included Old Grand-dad and Hill & Hill.

This 1 pint bottle was filled by the American Medicinal Spirits Company at distillery bonded warehouse no. 19, also in the 5th district of Kentucky, permit no. Ky P-19.

\"It’s been a good year for sourcing ridiculously rare parcels of extraordinary whisky.

Two different companies approached us recently with similar stories: they each had several casks of Blended Scotch that had been blended at quite young ages, then not required and put back into cask and left to age. One parcel was 33 years-old and the other was…well, I’m afraid I can’t tell you. (By telling you the age of the other parcel, some might argue we are in violation of the UK’s Scotch Whisky Regulations - citation 2009 No. 2890. But that’s another story.)

We know little of the component whiskies, only that, being Blended Scotch Whisky, they were blends of both single malt and single grain whiskies.

We could tell by tasting that some were aged in former American whisky casks and some in sherry casks. But the provenance wasn’t really important, because each parcel had matured into something extraordinary in flavour, and to us, as blenders, they each represented distinct and complementary flavour profiles.

And this is where things got interesting for us. While each parcel was compelling in its own right, we had the feeling that by combining them in the right proportions, we could make something even more interesting. So we experimented for many weeks, blending the two together at different proportions before landing on the recipe in this bottle.

The result is a whisky with the “antique” character lovers of old whiskies seek out.\"

  Named after the dramatic cliff's on Orkney's Atlantic coastline, the final point on land before Greenland, .
  The whisky itself consists of three 2005 vintage, first-fill sherry seasoned American Oak casks, from the distillery's most Northerly warehouse, and represents the cool maturation keystone.

  Named after the distillery in Kirkwall, this release explores the impact of cask harmonisation.

Hanyu 1986 Part des Agnes 22 Year Old #2812​

Hanyu is a closed Japanese distillery that received a new lease of life from Ichiro Akuto, who bottled the last of the stock in the iconic card range. 

Distilled at the now famous closed distillery Hanyiu in 1986 and bottled in 2008 for Part des Agnes, after maturing for 22 years.

Hill and Hill 1917 AMS Co Kentucky Bourbon / Prohibition Era Bottling

Distilled in 1917, this bourbon was protected in bond by the American Medicinal Spirits Company from the Prohibition Act of 1920, which made alcohol production and consumption illegal.

This was bottled in the Fall of 1933, a few months before Prohibition was repealed. The whiskey was produced by S.P. Lancaster, distillery no. 415 in the 5th district of Kentucky. It did not survive prohibition.

The American Medicinal Spirits Company was one of only around 30 distilling companies to survive Prohibition of the 434 that existed prior. Exploiting the medicinal loophole was the brainchild of Otto Wathen, an idea which continues to prove its value today in the persisting image of his still ever-popular portfolio, which included Old Grand-dad and this, Hill & Hill.

This 1 pint bottle was filled by the American Medicinal Spirits Company at distillery bonded warehouse no. 19, also in the 5th district of Kentucky, permit no. Ky P-19, this may have been the same site as the defunct Lancaster distillery.
