Springbank 1999 Local Barley 16 Year Old

A recent release of Springbank that has all but vanished from the shelves within hours of release.  

The first 'Local Barley' release from Springbank in decades (with one or two exceptions).  Distilled in September 1999 and bottled in January 2016, the 'local barley' comes from the varietal 'Prisma' and was grown on the Kintyre Peninsula, Low Machrimore Farm.

Limited to only 9,000 bottles.

The 15 year old Springbank is incredibly popular for drinkers and collectors, with old and new releases generating plenty of interest! This edition was from the early 1990s and is sometimes referred to as the \"Parchment label.\"

The label bears the signature of Springbank distiller, J. Archibald Mitchell.

St Magdalene 1982 Berry Brothers and Rudd

Distilled at the lost Lowland distillery, St Magdalene in 1982, the year before it closed for good. This was matured in single cask #2199 before being bottled in 2008 at cask strength.

Berry Brothers and Rudd is a firm steeped in history. They were established in the 17th century, and received a Royal Warrant from King Edward VII in 1903. The company has been bottling single malt whisky from almost as early as that, and produced their first ever blend, Cutty Sark, in 1923.

Sullivan's Cove French Oak has quickly become an very desirable bottle of whisky, particularly after being awarded the best single malt in the world 2014, at the World Whisky Awards - the first time that a Scottish whisky was not given this award.  That's not all it has received great acclaim elsewhere from whisky writers/reviews.

Distilled on 8th August 2000 and bottled on the 26th August 2013, this 13year old whisky was matured exclusively in French oak casks.

Customers across the world can choose to sell their rum with Whisky Auctioneer. Our Client Service team will support sellers by providing valuations for their bottles and advice on the best way to get their whisky to us for sale into our auctions.

The bottles will be checked-in, authenticated, photographed, and then listed into the next available auction, or an auction of your choice, by our expert team. Whisky Auctioneer hosts monthly auctions, where registered users from across the globe can bid on bottles via our website.  

After the auction closing date, the highest bidder will be notified by email. Payment is required within 72hrs. The buyer can then choose to ship, store, or collect the bottle(s). Buyer fees are applied during the online checkout process.  

The seller will receive payment within 21 working days of the end of the auction, directly to their chosen bank account. Seller fees will be applied to the seller’s invoice after the auction.
