Diamond <S> 1999 Velier 15 Year Old Rum

Due to the consolidation of the various Distilleries in Guyana and the relocation of a number stills from across the nation (specifically from Enmore and Uitvlugt) into the DDL Diamond Distillery complex, referring to a rum as Diamond is a somewhat confusing proposition.

This Velier bottling however was distilled in the metal coffey still that can be considered to be the original Diamond stills, signified by the <S> cask mark.

Distilled 1999, matured in new charred barrels and bottled in July 2014 from only 4 barrels yielding an outturn of only 1137 bottles.

Dingle Cask Strength Single Malt No.2 / Bourbon & Sherry Casks​

Dingle whisky distillery opened in Ireland in 2012. This is the second triple distilled small batch release produced entirely from single malt.

Matured in Bourbon, Olorosso and Pedro Ximenz casks.

Dallas Dhu 1983 Last Cask Filled

A very rare official bottling of Dallas Dhu by the now 'guardians' of the distillery Historic Scotland (now known as Historic Environment Scotland).

Bottled from the last cask to be filled from the distillery in 1983, cask #327.

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic range of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

This Dallas Dhu was distilled in 1970 and was one of the earliest Rare Malt releases. 

Dingle Cask Strength Single Malt No.3 / Bourbon & Port Casks

The Dingle Whisky distillery started production in 2012.

This is their third cask strength single malt release, and is a marriage of single malt whisky matured in two cask types, ex-bourbon and ex-port.

Caol Ila 1979 Whisky Agency 33 Year Old / Three Rivers

An independent bottling of Caol Ila, distilled in 1979 matured 33 years in a bourbon hogshead.

Bottled in 2012 for The Whisky Agency in collaboration with Three Rivers bar in Tokyo.

One of 276 bottles.

Chartreuse Voiron Yellow Label 1970s

Originally created in 1605 by monks using a recipe for an elixir of long life. 

This Chartreuse was made in the Voiron production facility in France.

The Dingle Whisky distillery started production in 2012.

This is the first single pot still release from the distillery: triple distilled and matured exclusively in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks.

Caroni 1994 Full Proof 18 Year Old Heavy Rum

A full proof heavy rum from the lost caroni distillery in Trinidad.

Distilled in 1994 then aged in Trinidad until 2008, before being further aged in Guyana until it was bottled in 2012. 

One of 2633 bottles drawn from 10 barrels.

Chartreuse De Voiron Green Label

Originally created in 1605 by monks using a recipe for an elixir of long life. 

This Chartreuse was made in the Voiron production facility in France.

There is no ABV stated on the bottle.

Caperdonich 1968 Gordon and MacPhail 17 Year Old / Meregalli Import

An independent bottling from closed Speyside distillery, Caperdonich.

Distilled in 1968 and bottled 17 Years later by Gordon and MacPhail as part of their Connoisseurs Choice range.

Imported by Meregalli, who remain the official Italian distributor for Gordon & MacPhail to this day.

The Connoisseurs Choice label is one of the most recognisable independent bottlings on the market. It was initially created for renowned Italian importer, Edoardo Giaccone in the early 1970s, but became a mainstay of the core Gordon & MacPhail portfolio in 1979.

Dalmore 21 Year Old

The 2015 release of Dalmore 21 year old matured in American oak for ten years prior to being moved to Gonzalez Byass Matusalem Oloroso Sherry butts which held sherry 30 years old.

Caol Ila 1979 Whisky Agency 32 Year Old / The Nectar

An independent bottling of Caol Ila, distilled in 1979 matured 32 years in an ex-bourbon cask.

Bottled in 2011 for the Whisky Agency in collaboration with The Nectar.

A single cask rum distilled at the long lost Caroni distillery in 1998.

Bottled from single cask #WP98635 and bottled by Hidden Spirits and Stefano Cremaschi for their Wild Parrot brand in 2018.

Caroni 1992 20 Year Old Heavy Rum

Distilled at Caroni in 1992 and matured at their distillery until 2008 when the casks were moved to Guyana for a further four years of maturation.

The front label depicts the last picture taken of Caroni Distillery in 2004.

Bottled by Velier in 2012.

Dalwhinnie 1962 Gordon and MacPhail 19 Year Old / Co. Pinerolo Import

A 1962 vintage Dalwhinnie bottled by Gordon and MacPhail at 19 years old.

Imported to Italy by Co. Import, Pinerolo.

Chieftain's Cigar Malt 20 Year Old / Mortlach

Distilled March 1997 at an undisclosed Speyside distillery (rumoured to be Mortlach) and bottled September 2018 by Ian Macleod Distillers.

Dewar's 30 Year Old

Released in 2015 from one of the most famous and established blenders in the history of Scotch whisky.

This 30 year old edition of Dewar's is a blend of some of their oldest whiskies and is finished in Spanish Pedro Ximenez sherry casks.

This bottle was available for Global Travel Retail only and is presented in a stunning wooden box.

Convalmore Cadenheads 26 Year Old

From Speysides now closed Convalmore distillery which fell silent in 1985.

Distilled in 1977 and bottled in May 2003.

The liquid has been aged in a Spanish sherry butt.

One of 642 bottles.

Caroni 1997 Silver Seal 16 Year Old Rum

A single cask Silver Seal bottling of Caroni, distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2013.

Silver Seal was founded by Ernesto Mainardi in 2000. This was Mainardi's second bottling company after the esteemed Sestane in 1979, and this later Silver Seal collection is named in its honour. Both companies were sold to Massimo Righi in 2010.

Caol Ila 1982 Cooper's Choice 30 Year Old / Limburg Whisky Fair 2013

A very well aged Caol Ila, distilled in 1982, and bottled for the Limburg Whisky Fair 2013.

Matured in a single hogshead, this is a Cooper's Choice bottling from the Vintage Malt Whisky Co.

Distilled in 1972 and bottled in 2004 at 32 years old.

This Speyside distillery has been closed since the 1980s but lives on as a Historic Scotland Museum. 

Crabbie 25 Year Old Speyside Single Malt

This is a well-aged Speyside single malt bottled at 25 years old by John Crabbie & Co. in Leith, Edinburgh.

The bottle is presented in an elegant wooden box and is number 117 of 988.

The Crabbie whisky brand was revived in 2018, with its own distillery set to open in 2019. Prior to this, Crabbie whisky had not been seen on shleves since the 1970s, and has become better associated with alcoholic ginger beer.

Chita 2001 Wine Cask Finish 50cl / The Essence of Suntory

A single grain addition to The Essence of Suntory Whisky series.

This is a Chita distilled in 2001 and finished for 4 years in a wine cask before being bottled in 2018.

Dalmore 1976 SMWS 17 Year Old 13.8

You don't see very many single cask Dalmore bottlings. This 1976 vintage was bottled 17 years later by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society.

Caroni 1994 High Proof 17 Year Old Heavy Rum

A heavy rum distilled in 1994 at the now lost Caroni distillery.

Aged in Trinidad until 2008 and then transferred to Guyana where this was bottled in 2011.
