Saburomaru 1960 55 Year Old Japanese Single Malt

This is the oldest bottled Japanese whisky ever... 

Wakatsuru Shozou own Saburomaru Distillery, which has been producing limited amounts of whisky since 1952/3, This was distilled in 1960 and matured in a red wine cask with the characteristics of \"Port\" for 55 years.

The malt was heavily peated and distilled in a continuous still (By current Scotch Whisky Association rules this wouldn't be allowed to be called a single malt if produced in Scotland). 

One of only 155 bottles.

Laphroaig 1960 Vintage Reserve 40 Year Old

A vintage release of Laphroaig distilled in 1960 and bottled as a 40 year old. Laphroaig this age is incredibly rare!

Distilled in 1960 and presented with a certificate from distillery manager Iain Henderson, the casks were matured for 40 years in warehouse #1. This is the first release from Oddbins and the far more limited of the two. 

This is bottle 132 of 300.

Glenfiddich 30 Year Old Silver Stag's Head Decanter

An 1980s bottling of Glenfiddich 30 Year Old in a crystal decanter and presentation box. There is also a stopper with a hallmarked solid silver stags head.

A very elegant and ornate presentation that was ahead of its time.

Glen Cawdor 1964 Samaroli 75cl

A legendary bottling from the great Silvano Samaroli.

When researching this bottle you will notice that some retailers and auctioneers refer to this as a Springbank, while if you look elsewhere you would read it is actually from Glen Ord.  We don't think it matters, all that matters is that it is an exceptional bottling from an exceptional bottler.

Distilled in 1964 and bottled in 1983 from a single sherry cask.

Glenfarclas 1954 Family Cask #1253

One of the oldest recent releases in the Family Cask range by Glenfarclas.  This Autiumn 2013 released was distilled in 1954 and bottled from a single sherry butt #1253 on 27th June 2013.

One of 424 bottles.

Glen Grant 1950, 1951 and 1952 Gordon and MacPhail / 2 x 75cl and 1 x 70cl​

Three full sized bottles of Glen Grant distilled in the early 1950's and bottled by Gordon and MacPhail in the 1990s.

The spirit produced at this distillery is legendary, a completely different beast from what is produced today.

The 1950 and 1951 are Asian Imports.

Lagavulin 1991 200th Anniversary 25 Year Old Single Cask

A very special release of Lagavulin distilled in 1991 and bottled at natural cask strength in 2016 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of this famous Islay distillery.

Only 522 bottles were released by owners, Diageo, with all of the proceeds from the initial sales being donated to 7 Islay charities by way of thanks to the people of the island.

The whisky was initially over-subscribed by interested buyers and so offered for sale after random ballots drawn.

This is bottle No. 58.

An older expression from this Campbeltown classic. This was bottled in September 1999 for the Millennium as part of a range of 6 bottles. 

The set comprised whiskies bottled at 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 years. 

Glenfarclas 1960 Family Cask #1770

Bottled as part of the Glenfarclas Family Cask, perhaps the most extensive collection of vintage whiskies from a single distillery.

This 1960 vintage was bottled on the 1st July 2013 from a Sherry hogshead #1770 yielding 166 bottles.

Glenfiddich 1972 Private Vintage / Danish Royal Wedding

A single cask bottling of 1972 vintage Glenfiddich.

Single cask 16034 was matured until 2004 when it was bottled for the Royal Wedding of Frederik, Crown Prince of Denmark, and Mary Donaldson.

An incredibly old, rare bottle of Glen Moray. As the label states \"The oldest and rarest malt we have ever bottled.\"

This special whisky was distilled in 1959 and bottled in February 1999, making it close to, if not 40 years old.

Lagavulin 25 Year Old Bicentenary 2016

Released as part of Diageo's Super Premium malts to coincide with the distillery's bicentenary anniversary.  This 25 year old Lagavulin was released in 2016 and limited to only 8,000 bottles.
