Dalmore 1926 50 Year Old

A very old whisky, distilled way, way back in 1926 and matured for 50 years before being bottled at cask strength. 

Presented in a sturdy well-crafted wooden box with leather straps and a stopper for the bottle. 

The wax seal is in good condition. 

The decanter weighs 1.3 KG, which implies the fill level is either correct, or if the decanter weighs more than average slightly low. 

This is a prime example of classic authentic presentation for a liquid the age of which is going to be close to impossible to get in the future. 

Laphroaig 40 Year Old

Distilled in 1960, this 40 year old was the official release following the 1960 vintage 40 year old at Oddbins.

The casks were matured in Warehouse #1 for 40 years, prior to bottling on 29th May 2001.  A mere 3,300 bottles of this Laphroaig 40 year old were made available and it remains the oldest official release of Laphroaig to date.

This is bottle number 1354.

Laphroaig 10 Year Old 1970s

A very old Laphroaig 10 year old bottled in circa 1970s.  .

26 2/3rd fluid ounces and 70 proof.

Presented in this wooden box, Laphroaig 30 year old was originally released in 2000.  

We rarely see well aged official bottlings from Islay, this well aged Laphroaig has only been out-matured by the 40 year old releases.

A very old Laphroaig 10 year old bottled in the late 1970s.  

Has both metric and imperial markings.

Linkwood 1964 Signatory Vintage 32 Year Old

Distilled in 11th of May 1964 and bottled on the 14th of May 1996 by Signatory Vintage. 

This 32 year old was matured single cask #1860.

Descubrimiento 1492 Gran Solera

Descubrimiento translates to discovery. The 1492 is reference to the European discovery of the continent of America. 

This is a Spanish sherry matured in the solera system. 

Licorerias Bonaparte / Bonaparte Pepe Botella 1900 / 1960s

Brandy produced Licorerias Bonaparte in Malaga is a distillation of wine from the harvest of 1900. These were then aged in oak. The label depicts a portrait of Napoleon Bonaparte. This was bottled in the late 1960s.

A bottle of the first ever distillers edition which was distilled in 1979 and bottled in 1997.

Dalmore 1973 Gonzalez Byass Finish 30 Year Old

Distilled on the 22nd March 1973 and matured in American oak before being finished in Matusalem Oloroso sherry casks from Gonzalez Byass, Jere. de la Frontera, bottled as a 30 year old.

Domaine De La Romanee-Conti Echezeaux Grand Cru, Cote de Nuit 1972

From the celebrated Domaine De La Romanee-Conti, produced with 100% Pinot Noir exclusively sourced from the 93 acre Echezeaux Gran Cru (the highest possible quality classification for Burgundian vineyards) vineyard in the Cote de Nuit, in the northern end of Burgundy. Domaine de la Romanée Conti, recognised as producing some of the most expencive and saught after wines in the world, is co-owned by the de Villaine and Leroy/Roch families, the former successors to Jacques-Marie Duvault Blochet who bought the vineyard of La Romanée Conti in 1869, Jacques-Marie Duvault Blochet was an advocate of harvesting late in order to ensure optimum ripeness, a philosophy to which his descendants adhere today. 1972 was a late, large vintage with best examples comming from th Cote de Nuit as opposed to the Cote de Beaune with Decanter magazine recognising Domaine De La Romanee-Conti as one of the vintages best producers.

A Gordon and Macphail bottling of Ledaig, distilled in 1972 and bottled 10 years later.

Dailuaine 1966 Cadenhead's 23 Year Old

A 23 Year Old Dailuanie, that was distilled in 1966 and

bottled at cask strength by Cadenhead's in December 1989.

Ladyburn 8 Year Old

The Ladyburn Distillery was built in 1966 by William Grant & Sons Ltd and only operated for a very short period until November 15th 1975.  

There have been very few bottlings from Ladyburn, this official 8 year old was released during the 1990s, well after the closure - there is some debate as to the origin of this whisky , as it is a 'Pure Malt'.  It seems to be widely accepted as a single malt from this lost distillery rather than a blended malt carrying the distilleries name.

Drambuie Jacobite Decanter 45 Year Old

Named after Scotland's uprising of the 1740s, where apparently Drambuie's origins begin. Bonnie Prince Charlie was being pursued after the Battle of Culloden and had to escape from the Isle of Skye. He was assisted by John MacKinnon and as thanks the Prince gave him the recipe to his personal liqueur. The Clan MacKinnon passed this through the generations and it would eventually become Drambuie. 

This special edition is a blend of 21 year old whiskies that were then aged for 24 years in a combination of bourbon and sherry oak, then mixed with Drambuie's mix of herbs and spices. 

The liquid is filled into a hand blown tear drop decanter with stopper and presented with a replica Spottiswoode \"Amen\" Glass which was used by Jacobite sympathisers and ownership would have constituted treason. The set also includes a hand bound 32 page leather booklet by Ian Buxton telling the story of both the rebellion and the set. 

One of only 150 sets.

Littlemill 1990 Silver Seal 23 Year Old

This Littlemill was distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2013 at cask strength.

Laphroaig 20 Year Old Double Cask 

A rare travel exclusive Laphroaig, matured for 18 years in bourbon hogsheads before being finished for a further 2 years in Laphroaig quarter casks.

A rare bottling from the elusive Ayrshire distillery, distilled in 1970 and bottled 30 years later in 2000 by Gordon and Macphail.

Released within their Rare Old series of whiskies, carrying the brown and yellow label.

Littlemill 1990 Exclusive Malts 18 Year Old

An independent bottling of Littlemill distilled on 7th March 1990 and released within the Exclusive Malts range, aged for 18 years.

Cask #751  yielded only 120bottles.

Linkwood 1972 Rare Malt 22 Year Old

Released at natural cask strength of 59.3%.  Distilled 1972 bottled 1994 level is well in to neck, labels and bottle are pristine.

Linlithgow / St Magdalene 1982 Signatory Vintage 17 Year Old

A rare Signatory bottling of Linlithgow, the 'other' name for St Magdalene distillery which was situated in the town of Linlithgow.

Distilled 15th December 1982  and bottled 18 years later on the 30th of January 2001, from single cask #3001.
