Hanyu 1986 King of Hearts Single Cask #9033

Hanyu is a closed Japanese distillery that received a new lease of life from Ichiro Akuto, who bottled the last of the stock in the iconic card range. 

Distilled in 1986 and bottled in 2009, after being aged in a hogshead then finished in a Pedro Ximenez sherry butt. 

Bottle number 427 of 444.

Hanyu 1990 Queen of Hearts #9102

This was distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2005 as part of Ichiro's legendary card series.

This is bottle number 18 of 324.

Hanyu 1990 Queen of Hearts Single Cask #9102 / Bottle No.8

The Queen of Hearts was distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2006.

Matured in a traditional hogshead before a second period of maturation in a french oak cognac wood, cask # 9102.

This bottle is only number 108 of 324.

We are lucky to have an amazing selection of Cognac in our latest auction, this is perhaps the pinnacle of the selection.  

The Hennessy Timeless was created in 1999 to showcase Hennessy's past and future and is presented in a beautiful and elegant Baccarat crystal decanter.

Hennessy was founded in 1765 by Irishman Richard Hennessy, Captain in the French Army. It took Hennessy just a few years to dominate the market and actually they have never lost their leading position since. Hennessy house the most impressive collection of vintage Cognac's within their cellar, this cognac was carefully crafted using a combination of the finest 11 vintages from the 20th century:

A single cask #60 Hanyu bottled within the Ichiro's Malt series of whiskies.

Distilled in 2000 and matured in a hogshead before being moved into a Japanese oak Mizunara Puncheon for a second maturation period prior to being bottled in 2010.

One of the legendary highly sought after Ichiro's Card series from Hanyu.

Distilled in 2000 and bottled in 2011, matured in a hogshead and finished in a 'Cognac'.

As we all know Yamazaki has ascended into one of the most desirable and sought after whiskies in the world.

This 25 year old is matured exclusively in the finest Oloroso sherry casks and presented in a very elegant, simple box.

Matured in Oloroso sherry casks, aged between 12 and 15 years old and even 25 years old, blended together with older single malt stock by chief blender Shinji Fukuyo.

This bottling is the follow up to the famous 2013 release which won 'Best Whisky in the World' according to Jim Murray and his Whisky Bible.

5000 bottles were produced which is less than third of the quantity of the previous release of Yamazaki Sherry Cask, of which there were approximately 16,000 bottles.

A single cask #9100 Hanyu bottled within the Ichiro's Malt series of whiskies.

Distilled in 2000 and matured in a hogshead before being moved into a French oak Cognac cask for a second maturation period prior to being bottled in 2008.

Hanyu 1990 Queen of Spades Single Cask #466

Distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2010. 

Originally bottled in a hogshead then finished in a port pipe.

Bottle number 622 of 737. 

Highland Park 1968 / Orcadian Vintage 

Following the release of the 1964 Orcadian Vintage, the 1968 followed suit in November 2009.

This was a vatting of eight hogsheads, which yielded only 1,550 bottles.  

The presentation as always with Highland Park is spectacular, a hard wood case with a silver Highland Park amulet logo inlay and a stunning black glass bottle.

Yamazaki Sherry Cask 2013

Matured in Oloroso sherry casks for between 12 and 15 years , this whisky recently won 'Best Whisky in the World' according to Jim Murray and his Whisky Bible.

Approx 16,000 bottles were released.

Highland Park 20 Year Old Rebus

Ian Rankin's fictional Detective Rebus has been solving Edinburgh crimes for 20 years, this bottle was released in 2007 to celebrate this. 

Rankin specially selected this cask and the author and special friends were given the bottles as gifts, it was never available for purchase. 

A 20 year old Highland Park presented in an excellently crafted wooden box. 

One of the most rare and collectable Highland Parks available. 

One of only 150 bottles. 

Hennessy Paradis Cognac  

Hennessy was established in 1765 and quickly became known as one of the World's most reknowned Cognac producers.  

The Paradis is a blend of pver 100 eaux de vie from ages between 30 and 100 years old.

Yamazaki 1992 Single Cask #ZS 70061

Single cask Yamazaki's are very rare and hard to find these days and we are extremely fortunate to have a number of these in our auction this month.

This single cask was distilled on 1992 and matured in a single sherry butt #ZS 70061until bottling in 2007.

There are two Joker's released to complete the 54 bottle series, one in colour and one in Black and White.  This particular bottling is the Colour Joker, a vatting of 14 casks covering vintages from 1985, 1986, 1988, 1990, 1991 and 2000.  The casks used for this final bottling include a sherry butt, puncheon, hogshead, Cognac, chibidaru, Madeira hogshead and bourbon.

Only 3,690 bottles of this highly anticipated whisky have been made available.

Hanyu/Kawasaki 25 Year Old Kiyosato Field Ballet 26th Anniversary

A very rare and collectible marriage of two lost Japanese distilleries: this very limited blended whisky contains 1990 Hanyu and 1982 Kawasaki.

The Hanyu was a 25 Year Old and the Kawasaki was a 33 year old. 

Bottle number 170 of 700 bottles, however there were only 200 of the hardcover editions released which features a blown glass bottle from Kobei Komaki and stopper.

Yamazaki 1999 Single Cask #DU65300 

Single cask Yamazaki's are very rare and hard to find these days and we are extremely fortunate to have a number of these in our auction this month.

This single cask was distilled on 1999 and matured in a single sherry butt #DU65300 until bottling in 2011.

The Chinese character on the label we believe means 'Hero', 40th Hero.

Hanyu/Kawasaki 25 Year Old Kiyosato Field Ballet 26th Anniversary

A very rare and collectible marriage of two lost Japanese distilleries: this very limited blended whisky contains 1990 Hanyu and 1982 Kawasaki.

The Hanyu was a 25 Year Old and the Kawasaki was a 33 year old.
