A legendary release from Macallan, bottled in 1985 from casks distilled in 1958 and 1959.

As the label reads 'A special bottling of unblended single highland malt scotch whisky over 25 years old'.

As we all know Yamazaki has ascended into one of the most desirable and sought after whiskies in the world.

This 25 year old is matured exclusively in the finest Oloroso sherry casks and presented in a very elegant, simple box.

Yamazaki Sherry Cask 2016

Matured in Oloroso sherry casks, aged between 12 and 15 years old and even 25 years old, blended together with older single malt stock by chief blender Shinji Fukuyo.

This bottling is the follow up to the famous 2013 release which won 'Best Whisky in the World' according to Jim Murray and his Whisky Bible.

5000 bottles were produced which is less than third of the quantity of the previous release of Yamazaki Sherry Cask, of which there were approximately 16,000 bottles.

Midleton 1969 30 Year Old

Distilled in the year 1969 and aged for 30 years in single casks #1831 and #56. One of which was bourbon and one sherry. 

Each bottle carries a signature from Barry Crocket.

This is bottle number 239 of 400. 

Yamazaki Sherry Cask 2013

Matured in Oloroso sherry casks for between 12 and 15 years , this whisky recently won 'Best Whisky in the World' according to Jim Murray and his Whisky Bible.

Approx 16,000 bottles were released.

Macallan 1969 Anniversary Malt 25 Year Old

A stunning example of Macallan 25 year old,  distilled in 1969 and bottled 25 years later in 1995.

Matured exclusively in sherry wood.

Macallan 1962 1970s

Macallan distilled in 1962 and bottled prior to January 1st 1981 by Gordon and Macphail.

At this point in time Gordon and Macphail were the official bottlers for Macallan. 

Macallan Masters of Photography Annie Leibovitz 'The Gallery'

An extremely limited bottling from Macallan, a set of four dirresernt bottles were released Annie Leibovitz 'Master of Photography edition, they were from four single casks. 

Bottle No.2 carries an image of actor Kevin McKidd pictured enjoying a dram in a gallery. 

The Gallery is from cask number 12251, which was a sherry butt with liquid distilled in 1989.

One of 285 bottles. 

Macallan 30 Year Old Sherry Oak

The incredibly desirable and elusive Macallan 30 year old sherry oak, spends it's entire maturation period within Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez.

This recent release from Macallan carries Whisky Tint #26, signed by Bob Dalgarno.

Macallan Robert Burns / Semiquincentenary

A near mythical bottle of Macallan released to commemorate the 250th anniversary of our National Bard, Robert Burns 1759 - 2009. 

A very limited release from two casks chosen by Bob Dalgarno, one from 1997 and one from 1998, both cask numbers #1759. 

Bottled at 46%, only 250 bottles of this Macallan were made available and presented in a specially commissioned box featuring Robert Burns.  Included within the box is a map of 'Burns Country' and a Burns poem.

Please note the decanters were not sealed.

Macallan 1967 18 Year Old

A particularly old bottle of Macallan distilled in 1967 and bottled in 1985.

Macallan 1979 Gran Reserva 18 Year Old

The Gran Reserva Macallan’s were release between 1997 and 2002.

Distilled in 1979 and bottled in 1997, this 18 year old Macallan is widely regarded as one of the most memorable and legendary ever bottled.

Macallan Royal Wedding

The first of the Royal releases from Macallan is a limited edition bottling of only 1,000 bottles celebrating the Royal Marriage of Prince William to Catherine Middleton on 29th April 2011.

Bottled from two casks, both filled on 29th April – one from 1996 and one from 1999.

The creation of this special bottle follows the release of a commemorative edition to mark the marriage of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer in 1981. This comprised two casks, one from each of their birth years. At the time, the bottle sold out and today is highly sought-after by collectors of The Macallan around the world.

In keeping with this original bottling, The Macallan commissioned the creative force behind the 1981 bottle, David Holmes, who was also one of the architects of their advertising campaign in the 1980s and the early 1990s, to create the label and packaging design.

Macallan Masters of Photography Annie Leibovitz 'The Bar'

An extremely limited bottling from Macallan produced for the Annie Leibovitz 'Master of Photography edition. There were four single casks released, each with a different image on the bottle.

Bottle No.3 carries an image of actor Kevin McKidd pictured enjoying a dram in an American Bar.

The liquid was distilled in 1991 and matured in single cask 7023 which was a sherry oak puncheon. 

One of 285 bottles. 

Macallan Diamond Jubilee

Released in 2012 this specially designed bottle bears a unique image of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II created by the sculptor Arnold Martin.

The contents of this bottle were specially chosen for the months it was drawn from the casks, 6th February, the Queen's accession and the first week in June, traditionally when the Jubilees are celebrated.  Bottled at 52% in line with the year of the Queen's accession, only 2,012 bottles were released.

Macallan 1980 Gran Reserva 18 Year Old

The Gran Reserva Macallan’s were release between 1997 and 2002 and are perhaps one of the most sought after releases from Macallan.

This is the second release, distilled in 1980 and bottled in 1999, absolutely stunning Macallan's.

Yamazaki 1992 Single Cask #ZS 70061

Single cask Yamazaki's are very rare and hard to find these days and we are extremely fortunate to have a number of these in our auction this month.

This single cask was distilled on 1992 and matured in a single sherry butt #ZS 70061until bottling in 2007.

Bottle number 192 of 541

Macallan 30 Year Old Fine Oak

The older Macallan is, the harder it is to find.  

Macallan 30 year old Fine Oak edition matured in a mixture of European and American oak casks. Presented in the discontinued shiny blue box, now replaced with a wooden box.

Macallan 25 Year Old Anniversary Malt

A stunning example of Macallan 25 year old, bottled as an 'Anniversary Malt' with the classic wooden box.

Michter's 20 Year Old Single Barrel Bourbon

A very rare well aged bourbon, the Michter's 20 year old is produced from quality American corn and matured in hand selected charred white oak barrel. 

This 20 year old, presented in an elegant tall bottle with silver wax was released from barrel No. #L14895.  

Only 100 bottles of this were released, this is bottle #70.

Yamazaki 1998 Single Cask #CU 70095

A single cask Yamazaki matured in a sherry butt then bottled in 2013.

Bottle number 072.

Yamazaki 1999 Single Cask #DU65300 

Single cask Yamazaki's are very rare and hard to find these days and we are extremely fortunate to have a number of these in our auction this month.

This single cask was distilled on 1999 and matured in a single sherry butt #DU65300 until bottling in 2011.

The Chinese character on the label we believe means 'Hero', 40th Hero.

Clynelish 1972 Rare Malt 23 Year Old 75cl

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

A 75cl bottling of Clynelish, released within the Rare Malt Selection.  Distilled in 1972 and bottled as a 23 year old at 57.1%.

This is bottle number 0020.
