Laphroaig 1960 Vintage Reserve 40 Year Old

A vintage release of Laphroaig distilled in 1960 and bottled as a 40 year old, Laphroaig this age is incredibly rare!

Distilled in 1960 and presented with a certificate from distillery manager Iain Henderson, the casks we matured for 40 years in warehouse #1.

This is bottle 284 of 300. 

Excellent condition.

Bowmore 1991 President's Selection Keizo Seji's Cask

At the time the president of Suntory, Mr Keizo Seji visited Bowmore distillery in 1991 and oversaw the filling of a single sherry cask.  After the death of Mr Seji his son visited Bowmore distillery and donated his fathers cask to the employees of Morrison Bowmore.  

The single sherry cask was distilled in 1991 and bottled in 2012, this 21 year old Bowmore was only given to employees of Morrison Bowmore .

Laphroaig Cairdeas 30 Year Old

Exclusively only available at Laphroaig distillery or on their website this 30 year old Cairdeas release is a combination of approximately 60% sherry casks and 40% bourbon casks, which were then married together in bourbon casks before bottling.

This is bottle #672 of 1,536.

Brora 25 Year Old 2008 Release

The 8th and youngest release of Brora from Diageo, released in 2008.

Bottle number 1,292 of 3,000.

Balvenie Tun 1401 Batch #3 (US Import)

As with the previous releases of Balvenie Tun 1401 these whiskies are hand-selected by Malt Master David Stewart. Seven traditional whisky casks and three sherry butts are combined and rested for several months in Tun 1401 – The Balvenie’s traditional oak marrying vessel.

This expression was chosen to be the first Balvenie Tun 1401 available in the US market and consists of the casks shown below.

Bruichladdich 1970 

A legendary Bruichladdich (scoring 95 points on Whisky Fun), distilled in 1970.  4,200 bottles were released in 2002.

Matured entirely in ex-bourbon casks.

Brora 1977 24 Year Old Rare Malt

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

Brora closed in 1983 and over the years has contributed to 13 different Rare Malt Selection releases.  This bottle was distilled in 1977 and bottled in October 2001 as a 24 year old. Bottle number 5334.

Bruichladdich Octomore Orpheus 2.2 

Similiarly to the Comus, the Orpheus release was equally peated to the same degree as its counter-part Octomore 2.1, at 140ppm.  The Orpheus was finished using Château Pétrus Bordeaux casks, recognised as one of the world’s top vineyards.  Matured for only 5 years this alongside the Comus have proven to be quite desirable bottlings.

Banff 1982 21 Year Old Rare Malt

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

Distilled in 1982 and bottled in April 2004 as a 21 year old, there were only one releases of Banff under the Rare Malt Selection, this is bottle number 3851.

Bruichladdich ​Octomores Futures 'The Beast'

Distilled on 9th November 2004 and bottled in April 2011 the futures releases were only ever available at Bruichladdich distillery.

Peated to a massive 167 ppm, malted using Optic barley and matured in a bourbon cask.  

No wonder it's named 'The Beast'

Bottle number 4,923 of 8,400.

Benriach 1976 Sherry Butt Single Cask

A single cask release from Benriach, distilled in 1976 and bottled in July 2012 from cask #6967.

Bottle number 252 of 339.

Please note there is a very small bash to the bottom of the box.

Littlemill 21 Year Old

Released in 2012 this official bottling of Littlemill proved to be very popular, perhaps unsuprising as there are so few official releases from this lost distillery.

Limited release of 3,000 bottles at 21 years old.

Balvenie 8 Year Old Pure Malt 1970s (26 2/3fl oz)

A lovely old bottling of Balvenie from the 1970s, bottled in this Glenfiddich-esque triangular style bottle.

26 2/3 fluid ounces and 70 proof.

Lagavulin 1995 Feis Ile 2013

Lagavulin’s offering to the 2013 Feis Ile, distilled on the 8^th May 1995 and bottled in 2013. Matured for 18 years in a sherry butt personally selected by Iain McArthur.

Bruichladdich Octomore 4.2 or Comus

Peated equally to the Octomore 4.1 release at a massive 167ppm, this was finished in Sauternes casks.  As with the Octomore Orpheus, the Comus has received quite a cult following providing a powerful peaty dram with an elegrant sweet character provided by what is recognised as perhaps the world’s greatest desert wine.   

Only 18,000 bottles released this is bottle number 7164.

Bruichladdich Octomore 6.2 (Travel Retail Exclusive)

Aged for 5 years in true Octomore fashion, the latest travel retail exclusive was finished in Limousin Oak which previously held 'one of the world's great Eaux de Vie'.  

18,000 bottles produced and bottled at 58.2%

Bruichladdich Octomore 2.1 or Octomore 2_140 (US Import)

The second Octomore release from Bruichladdich, known as Octomore 2_140 or 2.1 was fortunate enough to have been peated to 140ppm and matured for 5 years. 

15,000 of Octomore 2.1 existed, this particular bottle is number 7423 of 15,000.

Benriach 1980 Virgin Oak Single Cask

A single cask release from Benriach and matured for 26 years in a virgin oak barrel.

Bottled in June 2006 and matured in cask #2535 this is bottle 135 of 238.

Linkwood 1972 (Spyniemore) Whisky Connoisseur Single Cask

An old bottling of Linkwood under the name 'Spyniemore' bottled by 'The Whisky Connoisseur', Biggar.

Distilled on 3rd July 1972 from cask #9457 and bottled 22 years later, this is bottle number 50.

Arthur J Bell bottled a variety of single malts in this collection and sold them through his company Scottish Gourmet in the 1980s.

Bladnoch 10 Year Old Flora and Fauna (Boxed)

This Flora and Fauna 10 year old Bladnoch has been discontinued for a number of years and was the last bottling released by Diageo the old owners of the distillery.

Bruichladdich 1992 Valinch The Italian Job

Distilled 1992 and bottled 2010, this 18 year old valinch was matured in bourbon casks and finished in Toscano casks.

Available only at Bruichladdich distillery this valinch was distilled on 1st April 1992 and matured bourbon casks followed by Chateau D'yquem prior to bottling in July 2010.

Only 400 bottles available.

Now discontinued this is the Laphroaig 15 year old which Prince Charles loved so much.

Bruichladdich 2002 Valinch Port Charlotte Prediction

This valinch was distilled in this same method as Bruichladdich's famous PC series, re-creating a heavier peated style from the lost Port Charlotte distillery.

Distilled in 2002 and bottled in 2011, finished in a Chateau La Tour cask, cask #130.

Only 450 bottles were released.

Bruichladdich1992 Valinch Guitar Man

Distilled on the 15th April 1992 and bottled in 2010, 18 years later this valinch was finished in a Faguero Callejo cask, cask #012.

420 bottles released.

Benriach 1988 Virgin Oak Single Cask 20 Year Old

A single cask release from batch 5 of the vintage release by Benriach and matured for 19 years in a virgin American oak cask, cask #4020

Bruichladdich 2002 Valinch The Coming of Age

Distilled on 20th July 2002 and matured for 9 years (bottled in 2011) in ex-Palo Cortado sherry cask #001, 400 bottles produced.

Longrow 1996 Fino Sherry Butt 12 Year Old

Originally only available to members of the Springbank Society.

Distilled June 2006 and bottled April 2009.

One of 600 bottles.

Laphroaig Cairdeas Port Wood Finish - Feis Ile 2013

Released during the Feis Ile 2013, the latest edition of Laphroaig Cairdeas was matured in bourbon casks for 8 years prior to being finished in port pipes for 14 months.

Let's not forget that Cairdeas is gaelic for 'friendship'
