Ichiro's Blend for Isetan / Hanyu and Kawasaki

An exclusive blend produced by Ichiro Akuto the owner of Chichibu distillery and the man responsible for bringing Hanyu and Karuizawa casks to the market.  

This blend was produced for Isetan, Singapore and is a blend of Hanyu and Kawasaki both closed distilleries.  Aged between 12 and 35 years old, released October 2012.

This stunning, attractive bottling of 30 year old Apple brandy pays tribute to Rita Taketsuru, Masataka Taketsuru's wife.

Imperial 1979 Cadenhead's 22 Year Old

A lovely rich looking Imperial distilled in 1979 and bottled in February 2002 at 22 years of age.

Matured in a sherry hogshead , this is one of only 192 bottles.

A blend from Ichiro Akuto that was exclusively bottled for three Japanese companies.

Bottle in November 2015 from a single cask of this blend #4084 at full cask strength - rather out of the ordinary as the regular Malt and Grain is bottled at 46%.

One of 262 bottles.

Ichiro's Malt Double Single Malts

Ichirio has combined two single malts, a Japanese single malt distilled in 2008 with a Scottish single malt distilled in 2007 and matured in Japan.

A blend from Ichiro Akuto containing Hanyu, Chichibu and an unnamed grain whisky.

North Port 1979 Rare Malt 20 Year Old

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

This North Port was distilled in 1979  and bottled 20 years later in October 1999.

Inverleven 1973 Deoch an Doras 37 Year Old

Distilled in 1973 and bottled in 2011, This is from the closed Lowland single malt distillery of Inverleven. 

This was part of the Dumbarton distillery complex where malt production ceased in 1991.

Inchmurrin 1966 Bottled 1999

An official bottling from Loch Lomond.  Loch Lomond produce quite an array of different spirits Inchmurrin is apprently the sixth and most heavily peated spirit.

Distilled in 1966 and bottled August 1999.

Inchgower 1976 Rare Malt 27 Year Old

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

Distilled in 1976 and bottled as a 27 year old, there were only two releases of Inchgower under the Rare Malt Selection.

Île de Ré Cognac XO SMWS C1

This is the first ever Scotch Malt Whisky Society bottling of Cognac. This is an XO release bottled at cask strength. 

C1 is called \"Nectar Céleste\" and is a fine Island Cognac, which implies that it is made from grapes grown on Île de Ré, the location Camus gets its grapes from.

One of 450 bottles.

Islay Mist Miniature 1960s

Another incredibly rare miniature under the hammer in our July sale. It's not always single malts that should gain attention and this incredibly rare example of Islay Mist can stand tall beside the Laphroaig 20 Under Proof found here.

Bottled by the owners of Laphroaig D.Johnston & Co estimated again to be in the 1960s, courtesy of the book Legend of Laphroaig.

Imperial - Glenlivet 1979 Cadenhead's 20 Year Old

Distilled in 1979 and bottled in May 2000, by Cadenhead's.

Matured in a bourbon hogshead, this one of only 234 bottles.

A wonderful example of this closed Speysider.

Nikka's new Tsuru 17 year old blend is becoming increasingly sought after, particularly following awards such as 'Best Japanese Blended Whisky between 13 and 20 Years' from the World Whisky Awards.

Rumors are that Nikka are going to discontinue the Tsuru 17's, so expect these to become very hard to find.

Ireland 1989 Whisky Agency Single Cask 26 Year Old

Distilled in 1989 and bottled 2015, this is a mystery Irish single malt whiskey bottled by The Whisky Agency. 

Joint bottling with La Maison Du Whisky, France

Inverleven 1977 Duncan Taylor 26 Year Old

Distilled in September 1977 and matured in cask 3095 until March 2003. 

Inverleven is a closed Lowland distillery and was part of the Dumbarton distillery complex.

This is bottle number 109 of 168. 

North Port / Brechin 1981 Gordon and MacPhail 

Mothballed in 1983 and demolished in 1990, the site of North Port now houses a Supermarket. 

North Port is quickly becoming scarce, this 1981 release from Gordon and MacPhail was bottled in 2000.

Imperial 1990 Gordon and MacPhail Cognac Finish

Distilled in 1990 and bottled in August 2000 by Gordon and MacPhail.

Mothballed in 1998, Imperial distillery has been completely demolished and is becoming increasingly sought after. 

This Imperial has been finished in cognac wood. Bottle number 735 of 4500. 

North Port / Brechin 1982 Gordon and MacPhail

Mothballed in 1983 and demolished in 1990, the site of North Port now houses a Supermarket. 

North Port is quickly becoming scarce, this 1982 release from Gordon and MacPhail was bottled in 2010.

Imperial 1990 Gordon and Macphail Calvados Wood Finish

Distilled in 1990 and bottled in August 2000.

Botttle No. 686 of 3500.

Imperial is a closed speyside distillery and this an unusual calvados wood finish.

Imperial 1990 Gordon and MacPhail Sherry Wood Finish

Distilled in 1990 and bottled in  September 2001 by Gordon and MacPhail.

Mothballed in 1998, Imperial distillery has been completely demolished and is becoming increasingly sought after. 

This Imperial has been finished in sherry wood. Bottle number 391 of 1000. 

Invergordon 1972 Whisky Broker 43 Year Old

An independant bottling of Invergordon Grain Whisky distilled on 13th December 1972 and bottled on 14th December 2015 from a single bourbon barrel #130000001.
