Ardbeg Supernova 2014

Following in the footsteps of the previous Supernova release, this is as peaty as Ardbeg gets.  Sold exclusively to members of the Ardbeg Committee via Ardbeg Embassies worldwide, as you can imagine it was not available for long...

Glenlochy 1977 Gordon and MacPhail

Glenlochy is incredibly thin on the ground these days and becoming rare and rare by the year.  Gordon and MacPhail have released more from this distillery than anyone else and we are lucky to have one this month.

Distilled in 1977 and bottled in 1997 within their Connoisseurs Choice range.

Ardbeg Renaissance 1998

The conclusion of Ardbeg's 'Peaty path to Maturity', distilled in 1998 and bottled as a celebration for Ardbeg reaching 10 years old following the rebirth of the distillery at the hands of Glenmorangie Plc.

Glengoyne 1996 Single Cask Port Finish 

A vintage Glengoyne, distilled in 1996 and bottled in 2008, finished in a Port cask.

Ardbeg Supernova SN2015

The forth release of Supernova... SN2015. 

With Ardbeg having blasted whisky into space and it having returned successfully we are being treated to a new Supernova. We'll need to wait and see as to what Dr Lumsden has to say about zero gravity maturation... probably that it isn't cost efficient. 

Peated to over 100 PPM this is a big bang of a whisky. Truly out of this world. A star of a dram. Is that enough space puns yet? 

Ardbeg Dark Cove Committee Release

The new committee release for 2016, this has been matured in ex-bourbon casks with a heart matured in dark sherry casks. 

The style has been inspired by the history of illicit distilling on the Island of Islay, many people were involved including Allan and Alexander the uncles of John McDougall founder of Ardbeg distillery. 

This is the limited committee release, a more available lower ABV edition will be launched for Ardbeg Day/Night. 

Arran Smugglers' Series Volume 1 / The Illict Stills

A very cool nod to the shady history of Arran's distilling. Back during the 18th and 19th century the island was a producer of illicit whisky. Presented in a book style package to hide the goods. 

The whisky itself is a combination of the following: 

Arran Single Malt - Un Peated Stock Matured in 600L Port Pipes. 

Arran Single Malt - Un Peated Stock Matured in 250L Sherry Hogsheads. 

Arran Single Malt - Un Peated Stock Matured in 200L Barrels. 

Arran Single Malt - 50ppm Peated Stock Matured in 200L Barrels. 

Arran Single Malt - 14ppm Peated Stock Matured in 200L Barrels. 

One of 8,700 bottles. 

Ardbeg 2007 SMWS 8 Year Old 33.143

\"Thank you and good night\", distilled in May 2007 the matured in a 2nd fill ex-sherry butt. 

One of 582 bottles.

Ardbeg 2007 SMWS 8 Year Old 33.132

A young first filled bourbon casked Ardbeg, \"Beauty and the Beast\", distilled on the 14th of May 2007 the matured in a 2nd fill ex-sherry butt. 

One of 624 bottles.

Arran Devil’s Punch Bowl Chapter II           

Released in mid 2013, Arran’s second edition, release in the very popular punch bowl series consists of 27 casks distilled between 1997 and 2004; 17 of which are sherry casks, 6 ‘unpeated’ bourbon casks and 4 peated bourbon casks.

Known as the Angels and Devils edition, only 6,600 bottles have been released.

Aberlour A'Bunadh Batch #9

Aberlour A'Bunadh is bottled using only first fill Oloroso sherry butts, this is batch #9 released in 2002.

Ardbeg That Boutique-y Whisky Company Batch #4

The label depicts Geert Bero reaching for the spirit purifier at Ardbeg.

Auchroisk 20 Year Old

Released in 2010, this Limited Edition Auchroisk was matured in a combination of refill European and American oak.

Glenmorangie Artein was released into Glenmorangie's Private Edition series in 2011, finished in Super-Tuscan wine casks.

Glenallachie 1989 Cask Strength 18 Year Old Batch #5

Distilled in 1989 and bottled in 2008, this is a small batch cask strength Glenallachie. 

Ardbeg Alligator Untamed Release

A fierce charring to the cask, an 'alligator char' provides the name for this whisky, aggressive heat when applied to the inside of the casks causes the cracking of the wood which re-sembles that of an Alligators skin. 

Following the acclaimed committee release, the un-tamed edition was released in 2011 and quickly sold out.

Aberfeldy 15 Year Old Flora and Fauna

One of the most sought after Flora and Fauna bottlings, discontinued in the late 1990s when Bacardi became owners of the distillery.

Glenfarclas 1987 Oloroso Cask

A 1987 distillation of Glenfarclas matured in refill oloroso casks, this was exported for the French market.

A single cask bottling by Malts of Scotland. Distilled in 2000 and bottled in 2016 at cask strength after being matured in a sherry butt. 

Bottle number 489 of 540.

Proceeding from Very Young and Still Young, Ardbeg Almost There was the final stage in the journey of young cask-strength Ardbeg 1998 before the Renaissance 10 year old was finally released.

Glen Mhor 1977 Signatory Vintage 20 Year Old

A rare Signatory Vintage Glen Mhor, distilled on the 12th May 197 and bottled on 28th October 1997.

Cask Number #1552 this is bottle number 187 of 230 released by Signatory Vintage as part of their Silent Stills series.

Glenfarclas 1986 SMWS 28 Year Old 1.188

'Sweet and savoury satisfaction'  We guess this was popular on the SMWS tasting panel.

Distilled in September 1986, this is a 28 Year Old Glenfarclas limited to 208 bottles in a refill ex Bourbon hogshead.

Ardbeg Still Young 1998

Ardbeg Still Young was distilled in 1998 and released in 2006, the second release on the ‘path to peaty maturity’.

Ardbeg Galileo 1999

Released in September 2012, the Ardbeg Galileo quickly sold out at retailers.

Aged for 12 - 13 years, the Galileo is a combination of casks matured in first-fill bourbon casks and a peculiar Marsala enhanced version of Ardbeg Alligator.

Glenesk 1984 Gordon and Macphail 

A rare bottling of Glen Esk, distilled 1984 and bottled in 1997 by Gordon and MacPhail.
