Pfaff Alsace Riesling 2012 & Sylvaner 2012

Alsace is one of the classic wine regions of France, though was formerly a German wine region (national boundaries change) which goes to explain why half of the Noble Grapes of Alsace are indeed German varieties.

This Lot contains 1 bottle of Riesling and 1 bottle of Sylvaner, both from the really good 2012 vintage.  No faff, just great wines.

Please note this lot has an additional shipping charge for two bottles.

Podere Del Sole Refosco 1972 and Picolit 1973

Two very different wines from the same winery \"Podere Del Sole\" of northern Italy's DOC Colli Orientali Del Friuli.

The 1972 Vintage (\"Vendemmia\"), is a red wine made from the Refosco grape, native to the Friuli region, bottled at 14%abv.

Despite the seemingly dark colour, the 1973 Vintage is a sweet white wine made from the Picolit grape, also native to the Friuli region, bottled at 16%abv.

Petri Fruhburgunder 2003

From the Petri family estate in the Pfalz region of Germany, a 2003 Vintage Fruhburgunder, or Pinot Noir Précoce as it may otherwise be known (outside of Germany).

Differing from straight Pinot Noir, this specific strain features smaller grapes in smaller bunches and is early ripening, even in otherwise poor seasons.  Fruhburgunder is reported to offer flavours of cherries and blackberries, often with a hint of smokiness, through a soft, well-textured body.

The term \"spätlese troken\" refers to a wine from which the grape was left to fully ripen on the vine (spätlese), and has been fully fermented to be bottled with very little residual sugars, termed \"dry\" (troken).

Placing a Maximum Bid

Our system will then automatically raise your bid in set increments if you’re outbid, up to your maximum. If someone bids above your set limit, we’ll notify you by email so you can choose whether to increase your bid.

Placing a Single Bid
