Bowmore 1965 Premier Range 42 Year Old

A 1965 vintage sherry cask matured Bowmore... 1960s Sherry Cask Bowmore Vintages come highly recommended by those lucky enough to try them. 

This one was bottled for Travel Retail at Heathrow's Terminal Five in 2008.

This is bottle number 46 of 57 bottles. 

Please note the leather presentation case is in very good condition, however there is wear to the outer cardboard box as shown in the fifth picture of the listing.

Bowmore 1964 White Bowmore 43 Year Old

The second in this famous series, the White Bowmore was matured strictly in bourbon casks, to create a comparison to the more famous Oloroso casks

Glenfiddich 1959 Private Vintage 

A stunning single cask bottling of 1959 vintage, which was selected by Glenfiddich's Malt Master and hand bottled on 9th August 2006 after over 46 years of maturation.

Presented in a crafted cherry wood case with certificate, this is bottle number 37.

Balvenie 1968 Vintage Cask

The vintage cask range of whiskies from Balvenie are a fantastic insight into single casks released from this popular Speysider.

Distilled in June 1968 and bottled in September 1990 this is a specially selected single cask Balvenie, from cask #7295. 

Bottle number 32 of 180 bottles. 

Glenfiddich 1993 Ginpin Taoyuan Taiwan Batch #1

A new and very limited bottling of Glenfiddich for Ginpin Taoyuan Taiwan distilled on 16th April 1993.

Single cask 11/3190-67 yielded only 78 bottles this is bottle number 2 from batch #001

Glendronach 1971 Single Cask 38 Year Old Batch #1

The very first bottle of the very first single cask batch released after the distillery was taken over by Benriach in 2008. 

These helped establish Glendronach as the new home of heavily sherried whisky. 

Distilled in February 1971  and then bottled in July 2009 after being matured in Oloroso butt number 483.

Glenfarclas 105 20 Year Old

Glenfarlas 105 is a popular cask strength classic, this release has a further 30 plus years in the cask but still bottled at 60%.

Released in 2008 to commemorate 40 years of 105 being available. 

One of 893 bottles. 

Bowmore 30 Year Old Sea Dragon

Nicknamed 'the seadragon' due to the mythical beast adorning the rather pretty black ceramic bottle and box, this 30 year old Bowmore appeared in the mid 1990s and has achieved almost mythic status.

The contents of this decanter are almost entirely made up of long-aged casks from the legendary 1960s vintages.

Balvenie Rose 16 Year Old / First Edition 53.1%

The Balvenie Rose was created to celebrate the long history of Balvenie Castle.  Margaret Douglas 'The Fair Maid of Galloway' married in turn, two of the infamous Black Douglases.  Following the murder of William Douglas at the hands of James II the Black Douglases rebelled against the Stewart King and were defeated loosing their titles and estates.  The king however was taken by Magaret's beauty and reinstated her in Balvenie Castle with an annual rent of a single red rose.

Two batches of the Balvenie Rose were released and sold exclusively at Balvenie distillery, each batch consisted of 4 refill American oak casks which were finished in a single first fill port pipe.

This is the 53.1% bottling.

Glendronach 1972 43 Year Old Single Cask #706

Distilled on 28th February 1972 and then bottled in August 2015 from single cask number #706 Pedro Ximenez Sherry Butt.

Glenugie 1966 Samaroli 33 Year Old / only 108 bottles

A very rare bottling of Glenugie by the legendary bottler Samaroli.

This incredibly rare Glenugie is not often seen at auction and that is not suprising as only 108 bottles were released in 1999 from single cask #5822.

Glenfarclas 1959 Family Cask #3227 Release

The Family Cask range was launched early in 2007 with a cask for each year from 1952 until 1994.

This is the third release of the 1959 vintage, bottled on the 15 July 2007 after maturation in cask number 3227.

One of 86 bottles. 

Glenlivet 1948 Gordon and MacPhails

A fantastic example of war-time whisky distilled at Glenlivet distillery in 1948.  

Bottled by Gordon and MacPhail at some point in the 1990s.

Bowmore Bicentenary

Released in 1979 this legendary bottling of Bowmore contains whisky vatted from a selection of casks from the 1960s.  This Bicentenary Bowmore, released in 1979 is widely considered one of the best Bowmore's ever bottled.

These casks were matured exclusively in Bowmore's famous No.1 Vaults warehouse, the original warehouse at the distillery, dating back to 1779.

The bottle, number G 847, bears the Morrison clan coat of arms and is a replica of a hand blown decanter and was filled in the distillery early in 1979.

Distilled in 1951 and bottled in 1995 this is a very old Glen Grant bottled by Gordon and MacPhail under the iconic George and J.G Smiths Label.

A wonderful old bottling of a mystery Speyside by Gordon and MacPhail, Glen Gordon is rumoured to actually be Glenfarclas - it's only a rumour though!

Distilled in 1939 and bottled at some point in the 1989.

Balvenie 1997 DCS Compendium Chapter 1

This bottle forms part of the initial release of Balvenie's five-part DCS Compendium, which is a tribute to reknowned malt master David Stewart. It consists of a 1997 vintage, cask strength, 17 year old Balvenie matured in refill American Oak Hogshead.

Glenugie 1966 The Bottlers

We rarely see this vintage of Glenugie, in fact we rarely see Glenugie at all these days.  This 1966 vintage was bottled by 'The Bottlers' , a selection of independantly bottled whiskies for the reknowned fine wine merchants, Raeburn Fine Wines.

Distilled in 1966 and bottled in November 1993 at 27 years of age.

There are a number of famous Glendronach's from 1968 and this is no different, originally bottled for the US market.

This is the original Glendronach 25 year old, from 1968 which Serge Valentin from Whisky Fun explains is 'A tremendous sherry monster', scoring 90 pts.

Balvenie Tun 1858 Batch #1

A marriage of 6 American Oak casks and 3 European Oak Sherry casks created the first limited edition Balvenie Tun 1858, for the Taiwanese market. A limited release of only 2,600 bottles this has rarely been seen at auction.

As with the Balvenie Tun 1401, these whiskies are hand-selected by Malt Master David Stewart. Nine traditional whisky casks and two sherry butts are combined and rested for several months in Tun 1858.  The vintages range from 1966 and 1975.

Brora 1975 Rare Malt 20 Year Old

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

This bottle of Brora was distilled in 1975 and matured for 20 years.

Bottle number 2941.

Brora 35 Year Old 2012 Release

Another fantastic release from Diageo as part of their ongoing annual super premium releases.

Released in 2012 this was the oldest official bottled Brora at the time, only more recently beaten by the single cask 40 year old currently available at Travel Retail for no less than £6,995 which makes these bottlings seem a bargain!

Matured in ex-bourbon casks filled in 1976 and 1977, this 35 year old Brora is bottle number 0,906 of 1,566
