Haig's Dimple 1960s

An old bottle of Dimple. Dimple was produced by Haig and interestingly in 1958 the Dimple bottle was the first container to be trademarked by the US Patent office, this was because of its unique design. 

The Haig family had a long history of distilling going back as far as the 15th Century. Since 1824 when Cameronbridge distillery was opened by John Haig, Haig has been a big brand in the whisky world. As part of a distilling dynasty John Haig became important in the regulation of Whisky production and was a spokesman for the industry. Although the brand began to shrink in the 1970s, in the last year it has seen a healthy revival with the help of Mr Posh Spice David Beckham.

Highland Park Dark Origins

A non-age statement Highland Park matured in \"double first fill sherry casks,\" which apparently means a combination of 80% first fill sherry casks from Europe and the US, and 20% refill sherry casks.

This blend was supplied to Officers of Her Majesty's Services and the Diplomatic Core.  A high honour indeed to be the preferred drink offered by those representing the United Kingdom internationally.

This 1970's bottling was imported by Dortmund Hansa Bier for the Italian market.

An independently bottled Highland Park distilled in 2004 and bottled 12 years later from a refill sherry puncheon by SMWS.

High West Yippee Ki-Yay Blended Rye Batch #2 

A double rye matured in oak barrels originally used to age two different types of wine. Californian Vermouth Barrels  and Californian Qupé Syrah barrels.

Marriage of two straight rye whiskies, A 2 year old with a mashbill of 95% rye, 5% barley malt from MGP. The older rye has a mashbill of 53% rye and 37% corn and was distilled at Barton Distillery.

Highland Park 2007 Gordon and MacPhail Cask Strength 8 Year Old

A cask strength bottling of Highland Park by Gordon and MacPhail.

Distilled in 2007, bottled in 2014 from casks 15603510-15603515. All of which were refill bourbon barrels.

Hazelburn 2003 Sherry Cask 13 Year Old​

A 13 year old bottle of Hazelburn, distilled at Springbank in 2003 and bottled in March 2017.

Matured in a mixture of fresh and refill Oloroso sherry casks.

One of only 12000 bottles.

Wolfburn 2014 Private Bottling / Whiskysite.nl

Located in Thurso, this is the Northern most distillery on the UK mainland. Based around a long lost distillery that ended around 1850, this new Wolfburn reopened in 2013. 

This bottle was distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2017 for Whiskysite.nl from a spanish oak ex-sherry cask.

One of 300 bottles.

Distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2017, 57% aged in continental weather.

Highland Park 10 Year Old / Rebus 30

Ten years ago Ian Rankin (Rebus Creator) celebrated the 20th anniversary of the publication of the first ‘Inspector Rebus’ novel. Ian visited the distillery on Orkney where he selected a special single cask. The whisky’s flavour profile was chosen according to what Ian felt Rebus would prefer – cask no 3272.

This time to celebrate Rebus30, Highland Park created a 10 year old single malt. 

Limited to only 10,000 bottles.

Representing part of Orkney's history, King Harald was the first Norwegian King and established Orkney as an Earldom.

The whisky is matured in a combination of European and American oak Sherry casks.

New release from the Orkney distillery which demonstrates \"the richer, smoker side of Highland Park\" by using a higher percentage of peated malt.

Wolfburn Vibrant Stills 10th Anniversary of Alba Import
