Nikka Taketsuru On The Road Case 5 x 70cl

A suitcase style presentation box paying homage to the trunk that that Matasaka Taketsuru, founder of Nikka, carried with him on his journey through Scotland nearly 100 years ago. The set contains:

• Taketsuru Pure Malt, 43% vol.
• Taketsuru 12 Year Old (now discontinued) 40% vol.
• Taketsuru 17 Year Old, 43% vol.
• Taketsuru 21 Year Old, 43% vol.
• Taketsuru 25 Year Old, 43% vol.

This Taketsuru 21 was crowned World's Best Blended Malt Whisky at the 2010 World Whiskies Awards!

One of only 60 sets produced.

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

This North Port was distilled in 1979 and bottled 19 years later in October 1998.

Released within the famous and eagerly awaited Buffalo Trace Antique Collection. 

In recent years, due to the known similarity between W.L. Weller and Van Winkle, and Weller's resulting huge increase in popularity and demand, the William L. Weller bottlings have become increasingly harder to get hold of.

The 2016 bottling features 145 barrels which were filled in the winter of 2003 at 114 Proof (57%), with the whiskey drawn in autumn 2016 after 12 years and 7 months of aging at 135.4 Proof (67.7%) and bottled unfiltered.  The malt bill features Grade #1 and #2 Kentucky corn, North Dakota wheat and North Dakota malted barley.

The 2016 bottling features 105 barrels which were filled in the spring of 2003 at 114 Proof (57%), with the whiskey drawn in autumn 2015 after 12 years and 3 months of ageing at 134.6 Proof (67.3%) and bottled unfiltered.  The malt bill features Grade #1 and #2 Kentucky corn, North Dakota wheat and North Dakota malted barley.

Nikka 1995 Coffey Grain Single Cask #131524 / 60th Anniversary La Maison du Whisky

This single cask Nikka Coffey Grain was distilled on 20th February 1995 and bottled from single cask #131524 for La Maison du Whisky in celebration of their 60th anniversary.

Nikka Coffey grain was originally produed at Nikka's Nishinomiya distillery in Kansai before being moved to Miyagikuo, Sendai in 1999.

Wolfburn Single Peated Quarter Cask / Potstill Exclusive​

Located in Thurso, this is the Northern most distillery on the UK mainland. Based around a long lost distillery that ended around 1850, this new Wolfburn reopened in 2013. 

This limited single cask bottling was released exclusively for Austrian Whisky Store, Potstill. Matured in a quarter cask that previously contained a peated spirit. Selected by distillery manager Shane Fraser, this is one of only 167 bottles.

Nikka 1995 Coffey Grain Single Cask #112099 / 60th Anniversary LMdW​

This single cask Nikka Coffey Grain was distilled on 20th February 1995 and bottled from single cask #112099 for La Maison du Whisky in celebration of their 60th anniversary.
