Buffalo Trace 1980 O.F.C.

Three unique bourbons dating back to 1980, 1982 and 1983 were released by Buffalo Trace Distillery late last year and offered exclusively to non-profit organisations in order for them to raise money for their causes.

We are delighted to have been given the opportunity to auction a bottle of the 1980 vintage, one of only 100.

Presented within a beautifully decorative crystal bottle with copper lettering and finely crafted dark wood display case with revolving door, this stunning whiskey has been named in honour of the distillery’s original name, Old Fashioned Copper or O.F.C.

We hope to see this fly in our January Auction and make a healthy sum for a very worthy cause.

We always get excited about Islay whisky from this period. This is a fantastic example of a mid 1980s Connoisseur's Choice bottling, oh and did we mention it is Laphroaig!

Aged for 15 years after being distilled in 1968.  This era of Islay whisky is becoming incredibly difficult to find, good luck!

Laphroaig 15 Year Old / Mansion House

A Limited Edition, 270 bottle run drawn from a Laphroaig 15-year-old cask and presented to HRH the Prince of Wales to mark his 50th birthday. The Prince signed the cask during his visit to Laphroaig in June 1994 and donated it to Erskine Hospital 2000 Appeal of which he is Patron.

The Erskine Hospital 2000 Appeal opened in 1916 and has since cared for over 60,000 disabled ex-service men and women. The appeal aims to raise £5 million to enable the rebuilding of the hospital to meet 21st-century healthcare standards and establish Homes elsewhere in Scotland.

Three distinct labels were designed for the 270 bottles. Here we have an example of the \"Mansion House\" label, the rarest of the three with only 50 produced in total. Rarer still, this bottle is one of a small number of the 50 \"Mansion House\" labels that was not numbered, the intention being that it would be used for further fundraising events.

Bidding advice

You can place bids either under the lot image on the main auction page or on the right side of the individual lot page.

Placing a Maximum Bid
